The Democrats' Hilarious Attempt to Scare GOP Away from Impeachment Won’t Work
No matter what you hear in the media, we know that Democrats are terrified of the impeachment inquiry launched last week. It’s been amusing watching them and their allies attempt to downplay the impeachment inquiry, pretend that Joe Biden is entirely in the clear here, and then warn Republicans that this will backfire on them.
We know that they don’t believe it.
According to past reports, they aren’t happy with the position that Joe Biden has put them in because of his “inability to say no” to his son Hunter, which has caused “avoidable political distractions.” Meanwhile, the White House, which has long been able to rely on the mainstream media to push its preferred narrative, has literally directed the press on how to report on the impeachment inquiry. And, sure enough, we’ve been treated to an endless supply of reports claiming that Republicans have launched the impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden despite having “no evidence” of wrongdoing. So, when Democrats claim that they’re thrilled about this impeachment because they think it will backfire on the Republicans, you know it’s false bravado.
During a recent appearance on MSNBC with notorious leftist and race-baiter Joy Reid, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) claims that Democrats are all for this impeachment inquiry.
“I can’t tell you the number of Democrats who’ve come up to me today to say, ‘Let them do the impeachment, it will be the end of the Republican Party,’” Raskin claimed before adding that they all predict that impeachment “will end up in complete defeat and humiliation” for the Republicans.
Does anyone think this absurd reverse psychology will work? So far, every reporter who has challenged a Republican about the alleged “lack of evidence” of an impeachable offense has been destroyed. A CNN fact-check attempting to dispute House Speaker McCarthy’s claims when he announced the impeachment inquiry hilariously proved its justification.
Despite claiming that Republicans will pay a price if Joe Biden is impeached, he nevertheless is against the impeachment inquiry. “I’ve got a little bit too much respect and love for the Constitution just to let them go down that road without at least pointing out that the constitutional standard is treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors,” he claimed. “And they don’t have evidence of any wrongdoing at all.”
As has been pointed out already, there is ample evidence to justify the impeachment inquiry. So, there’s no reason to pretend anything Raskin has said to be on the level. In the end, no matter what Democrats say publicly, Republicans have eyewitness testimony, White House visitor logs, financial records, FBI informants, and even video evidence of Joe Biden himself bragging about how he used a $1 billion loan as leverage to get the prosecutor investigating Burisma fired. While it’s certainly possible that impeaching Biden has the potential to backfire, I firmly believe that it won’t because polls have shown that Americans already think that Hunter Biden profited off of his father’s position and that a majority of voters already believe that Joe Biden likely took bribes. How much more evidence will uncovered during an impeachment inquiry since Congress will have enhanced investigative powers? I dare not guess. There’s probably a lot more out there. Heck, just this past weekend, a video from 2005 resurfaced showing Joe and Hunter Biden talking business with potential clients. I believe we can confidently predict that more evidence will come to light from this inquiry and that this evidence will affirm what Americans already believe. Democrats are kidding themselves if they think that if they keep saying there’s “no evidence” and “this will backfire on the Republicans” repeatedly that it will scare Republicans to stop investigating Biden.
It won’t work. There’s just too much evidence of corruption.
