Is Joe Biden About to Sabotage Kamala Harris?
We’ve known for weeks that Biden is still bitter about being forced out of the 2024 presidential election. According to reports, his endorsement of Harris was a revenge move against Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi—both of whom wanted an open process to pick the next candidate.
At the time, it was leaked that Obama withheld his endorsement of Kamala at first because he doesn’t believe that Kamala can beat Trump, and Biden’s sudden support for her always felt backhanded at best—especially in light of reports that she was part of the plan to force him out of the election.
According to journalist Seymour Hersh, Obama reportedly called Biden one morning and told him, "Here's the deal. We have Kamala's approval to invoke the 25th Amendment." If Harris was part of this backroom deal to sideline Biden, it stands to reason that Biden doesn’t really want her to be president.
Frankly, I don’t think he really wanted her as his vice president—but that’s a whole other issue for a different time.
In any case, I believe Biden is likely fancying some sort of revenge.
You know how Kamala Harris is touting her “new way forward” on the campaign trail as she desperately tries to separate herself from the failures of the Biden-Harris administration? Well, during an appearance on The View on Wednesday, Joe Biden completely undercut that effort.
“As vice president, there wasn’t a single thing that I did that she couldn’t do,” Biden said during the interview. “So I was able to delegate her responsibility on everything from foreign policy to domestic policy.”

Upon entering the race, Harris saw a surge in her popularity and a surge in election match-up polls as she avoided the media and sought to present herself as the “change” candidate. But, it sure looks like Joe Biden doesn’t want to let her do that.
Biden's comments on The View reveal that he remains deeply wounded by the betrayal he faced. It's evident that he wants to be known as the only Democrat who could beat Trump—something he’s repeatedly claimed he is.
While he publicly maintains the façade of a loyal Democrat, it’s clear that he privately harbors resentment over his ousting. He would love nothing more than to confront the Democratic Party leaders who orchestrated this palace coup and prove them wrong for pushing him aside.
Otherwise, why would he tell The View he still thinks he would have beaten Trump?
“And although the polling, they say, ‘Biden’s polling was different,’ the fact of the matter is my polling was about, you know, we were always within range of beating this guy," he told the hosts.
When asked if he thought he would have won if he stayed in the race, he said “Yes.”
“I was confident I would beat Trump — he's a loser."
If he genuinely believes he would have won, he hasn't fully accepted his forced exit from the race. If Kamala Harris played a role in sidelining Biden, then he certainly has a score to settle with her as much as he does with Pelosi, Obama and the rest of the party leaders who stabbed him in the back. It appears he’s attempting to undermine her campaign through subtle jabs and backhanded compliments—who could really blame him?
However, that alone won’t be sufficient, and perhaps it doesn’t need to be.Peter Hamby of Puck News reported last month that Biden loyalists are still licking their wounds after being pushed out. According to Hamby, Biden's communications adviser, Anita Dunn, delivered a "salty" farewell speech, laced with thinly veiled references to The Godfather and "getting revenge." Clearly, the Biden camp isn’t going to fade quietly into the night.
Biden may have enjoyed his four years in office, but the humiliation he suffered at the hands of party leaders and Kamala Harris is undeniable. For a man with a fragile ego, watching Harris rise to prominence in the wake of his ousting must be particularly painful.
It wouldn’t be surprising if Biden’s camp still has a few tricks up their sleeves.
