Here's Why We Must Protect Kids from the Trans Cult
Children are innocent victims of a movement that is now targeting them.
Transgenderism is a fad.
There, I said it. I’m not trying to be inflammatory. It’s the truth. I think it’s bad enough that society has legitimized transgenderism in adults, but there’s something particularly evil about the way this movement has been targeting children.
While I’m sure the mainstream media didn’t report on it, a brand new study from the Netherlands adds to the growing body of evidence against the trend of butchering children in the name of transgenderism.
The study, conducted by researchers at the University of Groningen over 15 years, found that for most children, gender confusion is a passing phase, one they are likely to outgrow. The study, “Tracking of Adolescents Individual Lives Survey,” which began in March of 2001, tracked the perceptions of 2,770 young people. Researchers periodically asked if they resonated with the statement, “I wish to be of the opposite sex.” This inquiry was posed six times throughout the study.
In the beginning, one in ten children expressed discontent with their gender. However, as participants reached the age of 25, this figure plummeted, with only one in 25 reporting incongruence with their biological sex.
“The results of the current study might help adolescents to realize that it is normal to have some doubts about one’s identity and one’s gender identity during this age period and that this is also relatively common.” the researcher noted.
“This study provides even more reason to be skeptical towards aggressive steps to facilitate gender transition in childhood and adolescence,” explains Patrick Brown, a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. “The fact that rates of satisfaction are lower even just a few years later suggests that for the vast majority of people, prudence and caution, rather than a rush towards permanent surgeries or hormone therapies, will be the best approach for teenagers struggling to make sense of the world and their place in it.”
“As such, policies that prohibit gender transition for minors make a great deal of sense,” Brown concluded.
A similar study previously found that 60 to 90 percent of young people with gender dysphoria naturally outgrow it after puberty.
Gender dysphoria has long been a disorder associated with middle-aged men. However, it has exploded in recent years, becoming a growing trend among young children. Even more recently, it has been affecting young girls.
This abnormal rise in gender dysphoria among young people should have been met with skepticism instead of blanket acceptance in the name of tolerance. Children, whose brains are still in the process of development and who may be grappling with hormonal fluctuations, societal expectations, social anxieties, and the typical turbulence of the teenage years, are being encouraged to make decisions that can damage them for the rest of their lives. Yet, sadly, this fad was embraced by Hollywood, the public school system, and even medical institutions.
There shouldn’t be any controversy over banning gender transitions for minors. While the radical left embraces the barbaric practice in the name of equity and inclusion, a significant majority of Americans support measures to prohibit gender transition procedures for minors. The survey found that almost 70 percent of respondents are against the use of puberty blockers in children, and approximately 60% oppose hormone treatments for teenagers. Clearly, this is a winnable fight that we need to continue. While we’re seeing the tide change in Europe, the Biden administration has gone all in legitimizing this cult, even declaring Easter Sunday 2024 “National Transgender Day of Visibility.”
We can’t be slowed down by accusations of bigotry or “transphobia.” This fad is sweeping up impressionable children, and is intentionally sending them down a dangerous and irreversible path before they grow out of it. As parents and concerned citizens, it is our job to protect them.
