Fauci Lied About COVID Lab Leak Theory, But Trump Told Us the Truth

New emails discovered by House Republicans investigating the COVID-19 epidemic show Dr. Anthony Fauci's deception was even worse than previously known.

The emails show that in February 2020, after being warned that COVID-19 may have leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology and had been man-made, Fauci "prompted" a scientific paper to be explicitly written to disprove the lab leak theory. Days after doing so, a draft of the paper "The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2" was sent to Fauci for editing and approval before Nature Medicine published it.

Fauci later cited this study, which he prompted, edited, and approved during a press briefing weeks later, to disprove the lab leak theory.

"Could you address these suggestions or concerns that this virus was somehow manmade, possibly came out of a laboratory in China?" a reporter asked Fauci on April 17, 2020. "You studied this virus. What are the prospects of that?"

"There was a study recently that we can make available to you, where a group of highly qualified evolutionary virologists looked at the sequences there and the sequences in bats as they evolve,” Fauci replied. "And the mutations that it took to get to the point where it is now is totally consistent with a jump of a species from an animal to a human. So, I mean, the paper will be available — I don't have the authors right now, but we can make that available to you."

The Biden administration now acknowledges that the lab leak theory is the most plausible origin of the COVID pandemic.

"The FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident," FBI director Christopher Wray recently admitted to Fox News's Bret Baier.

Despite Fauci's efforts to quash the lab leak theory, it persisted, and Trump was asked about it roughly two weeks later.

"Have you seen anything at this point that gives you a high degree of confidence that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was the origin of this virus?" a reporter asked on April 30, 2020.

"Yes, I have. Yes, I have," Trump replied. "And I think that the World Health Organization should be ashamed of themselves because they're like the public relations agency for China. And this country pays them almost $500 million a year, and China pays them $38 million a year. And whether it's a lot or more, it doesn't matter. It's still — they shouldn't be making excuses when people make horrible mistakes, especially mistakes that are causing hundreds of thousands of people around the world to die. I think the World Health Organization should be ashamed of themselves."

Why would Fauci mislead the public? Because, on his watch, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) funded “controversial ‘gain of function’ research where coronaviruses were made ‘more infectious in humans,'” at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Fauci was trying to protect the Wuhan Institute of Virology and himself by extension. But, it was Donald Trump who was being honest with the American people.
