NY State Senator Wants Boy Scouts Kept Out Of Governor’s Mansion
A New York State Senator who is openly gay wants the Boy Scouts to be kept out of the governor’s mansion because of the organizations so-called anti-gay positions.
I remember when this was a big issue and when the Supreme Court ruled on the issue. One has to wonder why gay men would be so adament about being troop leaders for the Boy Scouts. I would be as suspicious of them as I would of a heterosexual man or a homosexual woman wanting to be a troop leader in the Girl Scouts.
Let’s face it… Child are a target of sexual predators… Why risk putting children in danger?

Ah, another one of my pet subjects. Why do liberals want homosexual men to take my little boy camping in the woods? When the gay argument failed, the ACLU immediately shifted to calling the Boy Scouts a religious organization. This is the evil organization that teaches self-confidence, life skill, service, duty, and leadership. What a bunch of bastards they must be.
The unrelenting attack on Scouts really shows just how f*cked up liberals are.
And yes. I’m a Scout leader. My oldest almost has his eagle. My middle son is First Class, and my six year old will be a Tiger next year.

How about you keep your political theories away from my kids. Scouts transition from Webelos to Boy Scouts at ten or eleven years old. We are talking about OUR little boys and who we want taking them camping them in the woods. Is that so hard to understand?
The Scouts spend an enormous amount of time, energy, and planning to keep our CHILDREN safe. Your pro homosexual agenda should not be used to possibly do harm to MY children. That is why the “gay” issue failed in court by the way – because the Constition provides for freedom of association. But, “liberals” are pretty picky about what rights should be observed.
Gay people do not harm children! Sexual predators do!

I would like to point out that mba, with absolutely no idea of my life experiences and education has deemed me “uneducated”! Thanks MBA for once again showing that when liberals, or progressives, or whatever the hell you call yourselves these days run out of logical arguments you resort to personal attacks.
I have the right to associate with whomever I want. This IS an enumerated right. You have the right to screw goats, or trees, or whatever. BUT, I have the right to NOT have you take my little boys camping. Alone. In the woods. This is my right. The fact that you don’t like it is tough.
I also have the right to keep and bear arms. I believe that this right is closely related to the need to protect the rest of my rights from self-righteous know-it-all people who feel that their value system is superior to my own. This is EXACTLY the kind of intrusion that the Constitution is there to protect me from. It is EXACTLY the kind of intrusion that Gays want protection from (is it not?). You camp with whomever you want. Let homosexual men take you little boys camping and let straight men take your little girls camping. Do whatever you want. BUT – don’t try to impose your wacko ideology on ME. I will protect my children the way I see fit.
The Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts do innumerable good. They learn service, and honor, and life skills. Every year the Scouting for Food program gathers TONS of food for food shelters all over the country. (How many tons does the Lambda association collect?) So, the fact that they don’t buy into the “gay” agenda makes them pariahs? That is totally insane crap. Good though, keep it up. We Republicans love it when you show your true selves.

Ok, you have a point. Do what you want. But I don’t agree that all gay people are sexual predators. And yes, I would let a grown man take my daughters on a trip, if I knew he wouldn’t molest them.
BTW, What about guys who call themselves heterosexuals, but on that trip you just talked about, they let their true colors come out and touch a bunch of kids inappropriately?
And…I’m not sure I remember us talking about the right to bear arms…

First, speaking as a former Webelo (Sp?), I totally agree with everything that you said, and second, my hat’s off to you and your sons and what they have accomplished. I won’t even waste time addressing the commie that attacked you. Like my Great Aunt, Sister Kate I would say, “You can’t argue with those that you first have to educate. Actually, with liberal nuts like him, it’s not so much education, but some common sense and PRIORITIES that need to be set straight (opps, bad pun!) first. Anyway, I like to add that if the gays are so bent out of shape (maybe that’s a BAD choice of words also–sorry) about not allowed to be scout leaders, maybe they need to quit whining and start their own Gay Scouts of America, and leave our scouting groups—which were CHRISTIAN in origin—ALONE! It’s a free country, I support their right to do so…just leave my kids off the prospective members list, thank you!

They’re good people. They just prefer the same sex (has nothing to do with their desire to harm little children).

mba, as a scout here is what I say. If you don’t like us, don’t use anything we scouters have had major importance with. That would include Bill Gates, Gerald Ford, Robert M. Gates, quite a few Medal of Honor recipients. So with all those involved in protecting and preserving this country, it is either stay here and shut up or move to another country. I wouldn’t suggest China. Homosexuality is forbidden(official truth or not). And yeah, I myself am a recently awarded Eagle Scout.
