Hillary, Wal-Mart, and Abortion
By Matt Margolis | February 4, 2006
Hillary is returning a $5,000 contribution to Wal-Mart’s political action committee, “because of serious differences with current company practices.” She allegedly believes Wal-Mart should provide better worker benefits.
The benefits Wal-Mart offers to its workers has been criticized for quite some time… Why did she choose this week to return these donations?
Perhaps there is something more to this story… Earlier this week, a lawsuit was filed against Wal-Mart in Massachusetts because they don’t carry the morning-after pill Plan B, and is starting to receive national attention… The three women behind the lawsuit are backed by Planned Parenthood and NARAL. This situation has already inspired WakeUpWalMart.com to start a campaign against “Wal-Mart’s Right-Wing War on Women.”
Hillary has already taken a hit from the former president of NARAL for donating to the Senate campaign of pro-life Democrat Bob Casey of Pennsylvania…
In Hillary’s world, giving money to a pro-life Democrat to unseat a Republican appears more noble than accepting money from a corporation being made out to be participating in a right-wing war on women. Donating to Casey makes her appear moderate while helping her party. Returning Wal-Mart’s contributions make her look like she’s standing up for abortion rights at the same time. Her contribution to Casey’s campaign will be soon forgotten, but the Wal-Mart cash will resonate quicker and easier on a national level.
While trying to separate herself from a so-called war on women by Wal-Mart, she still is an active supporter of the war on the unborn.

Hillary Clinton was on the Board of Directors for Wal-Mart for several years. Since she moved on, Wal-Mart has continuued to grow and has actually increased benefits for it’s employees. She is very hypocritical when it comes to Wal-Mart.
That being said - they have the right to sell whatever they want. They are the only major (non-sports) chain that I know of that still sells ammunition AND guns. They are hunter central in my town come fall. I suppose the wacko liberals are mad that they DO sell firearms.
If liberals (or progressives - a still undefined word) want to sell particular items, then open up a store and sell them. Between the Kerry billion, the Soros billions, the Kennedy millions, and all the Hollywood money - they could buy a chain and fill it with condoms, abortion pills, and love jelly. They can do whatever they hell they want with THEIR property.

Some pretty huge conjectural steps taken here. But that’s nothing new to you neo-cons.

Neo-con - interesting. New, conservative. Hmmmm. Been conservative my whole life. Not that young anymore.
Another brainless buzzword you liberal/progressives use instead of thinking for yourselves.
