Karl Rove’s idea, apparently, was to pass a new law against illegal immigration which the administration would have no intention of enforcing. Then he would distribute talking points to talk radio and Fox and the Washington Times and New York Post and Newsmax blaming liberals for the law not being enforced.
Bush is all for illegal immigration, it drives wages down and keeps the little people fighting for crumbs. But the DNC, it it’s usual m.o of stay timid and do nothing, won’t call him on it.
