Time To Move Forward

Miers withdraws… I hope Bush takes advantage of this opportunity and nominates someone that conservatives can unite behind.

Plan B For Miers?

Sunday, October 23rd, 2005

Each day seems to bring more questions about Harriet Miers than answers… Now there are rumors of a possible withdrawal of Miers’ nomination

I’ve been pretty much on the fence on Miers… But lately I have to admit, if she withdrew, and Bush nominated a more well-known conservative, I’d be happy. It is quite possible Miers could be a good nominee, but I don’t think she is the right nominee at this time. Bush may know more about her than we know, and I am inclined to trust him… But with everything coming out the past couple weeks, it makes it diffficult… I guess you can say I am neutral on the Miers nomination.

Jet Blue For Less Green

Saturday, October 15th, 2005

How cool is this….

Jet Blue is launching service between New York and its burgeoning hub at Boston, adding 10 daily flights between New York’s JFK and Boston’s Logan International Airport, its latest challenge to the East Coast’s entrenched carriers.

The Boston-New York service is in addition to new flights from Logan to West Palm Beach, Fla., beginning Nov. 8 and Nassau, The Bahamas, beginning Feb. 2. The company will also add flights from Boston to Austin, Texas, and Richmond, Va., and will increase service to Burlington, Vt. and Buffalo, New York

This sucks

Fire destroyed a priceless archive of Aardman Animations props, sets and models early Monday, just hours after the company learned that its animated clay movie stars Wallace and Gromit had topped the U.S. box office.

The blaze gutted an Aardman warehouse in this western English city. On Sunday, “Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit” finished No. 1 in the United States on its opening weekend. It grossed $16.1 million in ticket sales.

“Today was supposed to be a day of celebration, with the news that Wallace and Gromit had gone in at number one at the U.S. box office, but instead our whole history has been wiped out,” Aardman spokesman Arthur Sheriff said. “It’s turned out to be a terrible day.”

I saw the Wallace and Gromit movie last weekend… I enjoyed it. Props and sets from the movie were not caught in the blaze.
