The day before it happened, I rode in the elevator with the only person my company lost. I made small talk with her. I didn’t know her very well, but I’d seen her before. She was a corporate lawyer - flying home the next day.

    She died at the Pentagon.

    Kahn,
That sucks. I was born and raised in NY and didn’t lose antbody I know that day. Go figure. I did have a neighbor in a building next to the towers that got out when the first plane hit. I think he lost some co-workers.

This is a good opportunity for people to ask some serious questions about the irregularities surrounding 911.
*Silverstein television interview where he stated he was notified by the fire dept and they decided to pull the building. ‘There was already a tremendous loss of life so we decided to pull it’.
*The so-called bombers who have been found quite alive and well and the significance of the unknowns who would have been in their seats using their passports.

Todd - you’ll have to be a little more coherent than that. Can you explain what your point is in more explicit terms? I don’t know where you live, but besides the one victim I knew personally - we buried neighbors. I saw the Pentagon in the days following the attacks - and have spoken to people who were there.

    So - please explain yourself.

Todd, What are you talking about? “Pull the building”?? Probably means pull the firefighters out of the building.

Let me say thanks for the honest reply Kahn and it’s truly remarkable because you are personally affected by 911 and still have enough intellect to ask for an explanation in a civil way.
Larry Silverstein was on a national television documentary called, I think, Rebuilding America. In it he stated:
“I remember getting a call from the, er, fire department commander, telling me that they were not sure they were gonna be able to contain the fire, and I said, ‘We’ve had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it.’ And they made that decision to pull and we watched the building collapse”.
There’s also a clip of a WTC demolition worker receiving a cell phone call where he says:
“Hello? Oh, were getting ready to pull building 6?”. Then they watched building 6 collapse, much more erraticly than the perfect building 7 collapse by the way.
The ‘pull’ issue. I’m just poking fun when I say the tables have kind of turned. I recall a time when Republican and the so-called ‘right wing’ were going ballistic over Clinton’s dancing around words and his interpretive definition of individual words, namely ’sexual relations’. Anyways, here are a few selected excerpts from the demolition world of lingo. Links will be at the end. May be paraphrased for space.
“Jack [Loizeaux] brought a basic knowledge of construction, engineering, and physics to his new science of implosion. He had faith in the power of explosives to help gravity do what it wants to do anyway: pull things down.” -University of Georgia
“Phase 1 continued to fall, helping to pull Phase 2 in. Phase 2 was detonated several seconds later and collapsed and fell the same as Phase 1. -Controlled Demolition, Inc. (01/23/05)”

    On a side note:
Since you have not heard about the Silverstein admission, I was thinking you don’t know some other things as well. Such as:
“…He has not developed any significant capability with respect to weapons of mass destruction. He is unable to project conventional power against his neighbors…” Colin Powell’s words in 2001.
“We know that Saddam Hussein is determined to keep his weapons of mass destruction, is determined to make more”. Colin Powell’s words in 2003.
“But in terms of Saddam Hussein being there, let’s remember that his country is divided, in effect. He does not control the northern part of his country. We are able to keep arms from him. His military forces have not been rebuilt.”
    Condeleeza Rice’s words in 2001.
“Well, the president has made very clear that he considers Saddam Hussein to be a threat to his neighbors, a threat to security in the region, in fact a threat to international security more broadly”.
    Condeleeza Rice’s words in 2001.

One more thing. Firefighter’s 911 transcripts: “we’re on the 74th floor. No smoke or fire problems”. Eerie.

“We’ve had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it.’ And they made that decision to pull and we watched the building collapse”.

Right. They are talking about pulling the firefighters out of the building.

“There’s also a clip of a WTC demolition worker receiving a cell phone call where he says:
“Hello? Oh, were getting ready to pull building 6?”. Then they watched building 6 collapse, much more erraticly than the perfect building 7 collapse by the way.”

So a demolition worker is talking about knocking down a damaged building days later? I don’t see the relationship. What are you saying?

Todd, Not many people would have the courage to make your post. Thanks for sharing it.

In that light, I have a theory that I believe is equally plausable:

I believe that the underwear gnomes are stealing my underwear. I saw a TV show with them in it. I hear that they have a plan. Number One - steal underwear. Number three - make profit. I’m pretty sure that number two is a big secret. But I have noticed my undewrwear missing - some I’m sure it’s all true. Eerie.

What I’m saying is that, days later, the term “pull the building” was used in relation to the deliberate demolition of building 6. There’s nothing silly about this. Why aren’t you focusing on Silverstein’s admission they watched the building fall once they decided to ‘pull it’? Khan: What do gnomes have to do with this? Deflective red-herring. A serious discussion and you bring knomes to the table?
“I believe that the underwear gnomes are stealing my underwear. I saw a TV show with them in it. I hear that they have a plan. Number One - steal underwear. Number three - make profit. Why would you make up something like that and offer it as evidence or rather a defence which you think discredits me? God forbid the following:
Your mother is raped and murdered. Someone respectable but involved confesses to details of the crime. You bring that up as a legitimate vital question in relation to the overall aspect/direction of the case. You’re told a story about imaginary gnomes. That would kind of make you think someone was inadvertently protecting your mom’s rapist murderer. Not to mention the anger over being spoken to like you’re an idiot. Gnomes. Grow up. Silverstein. Told they pulled his building and he watched it fall. Comment on that.

  10. Kahn Says:

Todd, what crime? Buildings six and seven went down days later. They were too dangerous to recover. This isn’t a secret - so I don’t understand what you post has to do with anything.

You can count right? Tower one - Tower Two - collapsed on 9/11 right? But - there were several other buildings in the World Trade Center Complex. They collapsed, or as you say were “allowed” to collapse later. So?

You know, you can seacrh for this crap yourself you know. You don’t ONLY have to buy into wacko conspiracy theories without checking anything out yourself.

And, your statement makes no definitive argument. If you want to say it was all staged or whatever - say it. Since your facts are crazy and your posts rambling - I have a hard time trying to figure out what the heck you’re trying to say. You jump from 9/11, to the days following, to Iraq, and back in the same paragraph. It makes it look like you’ve bought into a wacky theory because you can’t express yourself well. See if you can gather you facts )facts only) in a logical chain that leads to a conclusion. Then - see if it looks convincing.

    Wacko conspiracy theories…

From what I know, a structural analysis of the beams shows exactly what happened… the fireproofing burned off, the trussed melted, and beams buckled… kind of a pancake effect… Watch the footage Todd..

THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT PULLING THE RESCUE CREWS OUT!! Are you THAT stupid? I used to be a firefighter in Maryland for years. That is just lingo for stopping a rescue effort. Did you hear the one about us never landing on the moon????

Anybody else notice that the ONLY liberal entry for remembering 9/11 was a nonsensical rant. No remembrance. No sympathy. No honoring heroes.

    Typical.
