Captain Ed can’t call a black man “articulate” without being considered racist by ODub…

I guess ODub has a full deck of race cards waiting to be played…

My Way or The Highway

Tuesday, September 20th, 2005

As a blogger, I link to AP, Reuters and other wire stories quite regularly. I was introduced to My Way by the Drudge Report, it quickly grew on me, and I link to it more often than not for wire stories, as opposed to linking to CNN.com or even FOXNews.com— they’re just too busy…

Now, Drudge links to Breitbart.com, a site that posts AP and Reuters wire stories, which is run by Andrew Breitbart, formally of the Drudge Report, and the Huffington Post.

I’m sticking with My Way. I’m not a huge fan of Breitbart.com, it’s design, the ads… it just looks bland. Since Drudge started linking to Breitbart.com, I’ve found that any wire story Drudge links to on that site, I’ll take 20 seconds to get the story off of My Way and use that one instead. The Google Ads on My Way are less obtrusive than the ads on Breitbart.com, and I like it that way.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

There Is Something Absolutely Perverse About This

Saturday, September 10th, 2005

I don’t care what side of the aisle you are on politically… This should be disturbing to you

British scientists have been given permission to create human embryos that will have three genetic parents.

The article does explain a medical purpose for such a thing… I just see this as opening a really nasty can of worms in the near future..

iPod nano

Thursday, September 8th, 2005

Apple just announced there latest iPod, the iPod nano. I have to say it looks pretty darn cool.

With 2G and 4G models of the nano, it apparently is taking the place of the iPod mini, which is bound to make iPod mini owners really upset. Of course, I’d be upset if I had an iPod shuffle, because the nano gives you the the best parts of the shuffle (lightweight, small size) with the features you’d get with the iPod mini (a screen and big click wheel) not to mention the fact that the screen of the nano is in full color.

I have a 40G iPod myself. While I prefer an iPod with that kind of size, there is definitely a great deal of appeal to the iPod nano… With this new iPod, the iPod shuffle may lose sales. The iPod nano is 1.5 ounces and the iPod shuffle is .78 ounces — a negligible difference for someone interested in an iPod to take to the gym, and of course you get the full color screen, and 1,000 songs with the nano instead of no screen and only 240 songs with the shuffle… I’d take the nano any day.
