The blog Fishbowl D.C. has been “cleared to attend Monday’s press briefing” at the White House.
Quick look around site indicates to me that it’s a left-leaning blog… it is self-described as a “gossip blog.”
Something tells me this is just a move to put water on the fire of GannonGate.

If Jim Guckert had not reactivated his “Jeff Gannon” website (a blog where you can’t comment) and started giving interviews this probably would have gone away by now. Talon News has shut down and Guckert’s too much of a liability to employ anywhere, both the right-wing and mainstream media will not touch the story out of partisanship and fear, respectively.
But I guess Guckert needs money and with his Talon News and gay escort sites shut down he has to do something.

Kahn, I’m not slandering anybody. Guckert posted pictures of himself on gay escort sites of his genitalia and even himself urinating and advertised he was available for $200 a visit or $1200 a weekend. He serviced closeted queers that ran in conservative circles. Whether or not Jim Guckert is gay for real or only gay for pay is beside the point–I only referred to his websites and those were definitely gay-themed.

These are some censored photos from USMCPT.com (the uncensored photos of Guckert are only for the strong-stomached). That site was deleted by someone on February 14, 2005 and went down completely on February 23rd. They are registered to the same company–Bedrock Corp that owned Guckert’s other websites (hotmilitarystud.com for example) that was based in Delaware where Guckert $20000 in back taxes. Either the White House knew all of this about Guckert or they didn’t, both of which are serious security problems. It’s also pretty damn hypocritical a White House that had a key reelection strategy in playing to homophobic fears in the South and Midwest if they did.
Finally, I think it’s pretty damn disengenous for someone from the camp that says Ann Richards is a coke-snorting lesbian, John McCain is a traitor for being a war prisoner, Mrs. McCain is a drug-addict, their adopted daughter from Bangledesh is really a bastard mulatto from an adulterous affair with a Black whore, that John Kerry shot himself in Vietnam to get a Purple Heart, and that Max Cleland is a villain equal to Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein for losing three limbs in Vietnam to express shock-SHOCK– at anyone pointing out that the White House has ties to gay prostitution.

We can now say that well known gay Barney Frank, and start “Outing” democrats and liberal reporters? Whats good for the goose is good for the gander. It is only in your sterotypical imprinted mind that we care about this subject. And don’t forget - we ARE talking about a reporter here NOT a politician. You say the Republicans are hypocrites. Kahn, I’ve been called a fag so many times by Bush Supporters online and in real life I’ve lost count. If all you ever heard was those who brought up politics with me you’d think Bush ran last year solely on me being gay.I’m in love with a woman and only ever was attracted to women and even if I was gay it isn’t a sufficient reason to support Bush no matter what in everything he says or does. The Dems didn’t use hatred of gays as an issue to bring the bluenoses to the polls–Bush did. Granted, it worked, and he jettisoned the gay marriage amendment in January like the election year ploy it was. But it still remains that I received two voice mail messages last November urging me to vote for Bush because he was a Christian who would defend traditional biblical values against the liberal homosexual agenda. Since Guckert got outed I haven’t heard a damn thing from any of these hypocrites.
Yes, Barney Frank is out, and I don’t give a damn. Better for gays to live in their own neighborhoods among themselves than live secret double lives with loveless marriages like Guckerts’ clients do. BTW, gay or not, it’s illegal to be a hooker in DC. Guckert was openly flouting the law.
You were ready to hang Clinton over getting fellated by a woman (let’s face it, Bushies aren’t thrilled with heterosexuality either) but when it looks like someone high up in the White House is butt buddy to a gay hooker talk radio suddenly decides it’s an invasion of privacy when a guy can’t put pictures of his “8 inches cut” on the Internet anymore.
And finally how the hell post-9/11 does someone get into the White House under a fake name for two years with one two-day $50 journalism course reporting for an organization that didn’t exist until AFTER he got in? When you can’t even go see Bush talk about his plan for Social Security without being prescreened beforehand don’t tell me they didn’t know about Guckert,

Jay - But still - it is OK to attack a CONSERVATIVE gay person? Or, one associated with a conservtive like Newt G.s sister or Cheney’s daughter. Reporters and family members are in bounds - if they are conservative.

Guckert wrote vociferously anti-gay articles, Kahn–he said Kerry would be the first gay president–right after making up that lie about Kerry having an affair with a female staff member. Yet Guckert Guckert’s the hypocrite. I f he didn’t have anyhting to hide Talon News wouldn’t have scrubbed themselves clean of his name and then eventually shut down and he wouldn’t have deleted his gay escort sites. And Bush is a hypocrite for pontificating in morality while censoring TV and radio when he’s got a gay hooker in his own home.

A snide remark. I guess it means you don’t have anything left to say. Don’t worry about Bush, though. If he can get a pass for this, he can get a pass for anything.
I did email Rick “Homosexuality is as evil as child molestation” Santorum about why he hasn’t said word one about Guckert. I’ve also tried to contact with Sean Hannity, who is supposedly friends with Guckert, 4 times. Unsurprisingly I haven’t received a reply from either of them.

One last thing. Just because you disagree with him, doesn’t mean you’re right, sure, but just because you AGREE with him doesn’t make you right.

What has Bush done?
1. Bush belies pro-military rhetoric with cheap treatment of troops.
What does this mean? The troops are fed, clothed, have guns and ammo, good communications, and yes – armored vehicles. The original vehicles that went to Iraq were not up-armored. As the nature of the conflict became apparent, they HAVE been.
How about the liberals (now “progressives”) voting against supporting the troops, hindering recruitment efforts on campuses, and generally belittling everything the military does?
2. Bush tried to remove Yellowstone from UN World Heritage Site list.
It is NOT the job of THAT corrupt organization to infringe on our sovereignty. Yellowstone remains doesn’t it? Who cares about this except people who trust the UN more than ourselves?
3. Bush proposed to eliminate overtime for 8 million American workers
This is extremely misleading. That bill (oh yah, a bill – something the President does not create) proposed restructuring decades old and antiquated work definitions to more adequately reflect the current work force. I for one, do not get overtime. Instead I’m compensated with a combination of base salary + MBO’s + bonuses based upon sales. This results in a pay more than three times anything I ever got when I was “on the clock”. This sounds like the rhetorical argument bought into by someone who has never really had a job – hence has no clue about how things really work.
4. Bush pushes school-sponsored religious activities
Name five activities you think he proposed. And, while we are on the subject – how does the Federal government intruding on what states do in school constitutional? The “separation of church and state” is NOT mentioned in the constitution.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
God is given credit in the Declaration of Independence -

Not apparently religious ones according to your own post. What organizations are you referring to?

Please give examples. Do you mean harassment lawsuits against the U.S. military? What?

“Deficits are not important” Bill Clinton – 1994 There are MANY reports with differing reviews. But guess what – YOU found out about this supposed report – didn’t you? So I guess he didn’t do a very good job hiding it did he?

And the economy has rebounded and continues to grow. This is not a criticism. You’re welcome. Capitalism works – no matter what your dope smoking Marxist professors tell you.

Oh yah – he has the power to change the laws of Physics and chemical properties. I missed that. I’m sorry but this statement is just idiotic.
10. Bush wants executions at Guantanamo Bay.
So do I. And when the Europeans start getting in the way of us going after people who have pledged to kill me and my children (and you, by the way) I want the CIA to kill them wherever they are.
I also carry a gun in case I ever see some trying to attack us here. Since mid-day on 9/11 each thwarted attack was stopped by citizens defending themselves. Again – You come across as a child here.
11. Bush made Columbia shuttle investigation more secretive.
Is that what the voices tell you? What the Hell are you talking about? Really. If you can’t afford Prozac here – maybe you could get some from Canada over the Internet.
12. Bush tries to revive military database of every American with public relations push.
There are already multiple databases in place already. What is YOUR plan for weeding out terrorists? What dou YOU think the database would have been for? And – wasn’t it the Democrats who burned women and children alive to save them from abuse in Waco?
13. Bush charges dozens of people as terrorists for no reason.
List the names, and we’ll discuss each one individually. Sounds like someone you know got pinched? Are you a terrorist yourself or do you just give money to them?
14. Bush fails to protect Iraqi nuclear site from looting.
First off – sites – not site. And, are you mad now because the military was not aggressive enough when it took Iraq? Do you know how big it is, that there was still active resistance (still is now).
Join the Marines – go to Iraq, and do something about it.

Bush was a fighter pilot. He is the C-in-C, and they HAD completed their mission. This is a question of style and not substance. I thought it was great – as did the VAST majority of the military. And by the way, that is who he was thanking and trying to buck up – not YOU. You sound like an Arab student at a northeastern US University. Get out and talk to people. 91% of the counties in the US voted for Bush. The northeast and the liberal dominated cities voted against him (not for Kerry apparently as he is an asshole). I reject this item as not really a criticism – similar to the tax cut dig.
George Bush will not only change the dynamic in the mid-east – he HAS changed it. We are out of Saudi Arabia and have troops right in the middle of the shit. Now is not the time to waiver in our resolve – or to let sniveling asswipes like you make pointless manifestos filled with hate. I’m sick of you America hating liberals. I’m so glad you lost.

Excuses Excuses. I swear, if any other man, or the man you voted against did any of the things listed, you would be singing a completely different tune.
You can’t justify crimes against humanity. You can try, but where does that get you? It’s people like you who believe that John and Patsy Ramesy didn’t kill their kid, and Andrea Yates is innocent. Your philosophy is that the ends justify the means, but thats wrong! Would you kill a child to get his lollypop? Would you shoot a man who was in front of you in line? Would you go to war because someone made you feel powerless? The cold hard truth is, Iraq never did anything to the US. They never threatened us, or killed ONE SINGLE AMERICAN CITIZEN untill the invasion, and even offered to HELP us after 9/11. Any belief that Saddam and Osama had ties is just plain idiotic. They hated eachother, and any well-educated person knows that. Saddam considered Osama to be a thug, and Osama considered Hussein to be an Infidel, and still, you right wing nut jobs still claim that Osama and Saddam had ties. You also forgot that we had weapons inspectors IN Iraq. They were doing their job and doing it well. Hussein complied and still, we commenced an unprovoked attack on a soverghn nation, his nation. Even right before the invasion, Bush said “Don’t burn the Oil wells”. Hint Hint? Am I saying this was was just for Oil? No, I’m saying that bubba bush had some unfinished business with Hussein. Hussein made a fool of daddy, and now Jr. is getting his family ego fixed, and oil was an added bonus. As Bushy douche said: “You hafta remember, this is the man who tried to kill my dad at one time” HAH! You wish! Also, you conservatives, with your pie-in-the-sky hopes for world democracy forget one simple fact. Over a third of the world hates America. Why? For example: What specific “war crimes” are you referring to above? Is it something more substantial than embarrassing photographs?

The point of this particular string was that the NYT was criticizing Bush for letting the WMD’s be lifted from their bunkers. Hard to do if they didn’t exist. And - NEWS FLASH - Iraqi agents tried to Kill former president George Bush. Learn to google before you post dribble.

If anyone ever deserved to lose his job because of their sexual identity, it’s him, and this is coming from a gay man. He must have alot of self-hatred built up. What makes me wonder is why this isn’t all over the news more than it is. Now he knows what it’s like to be discriminated against and hated…what makes it so rich is that he contributed to it himself. The self-hate must be eating him up.
