MBT-Mobile

Shoot me now

The T is going wireless.
On subway lines in downtown Boston, passengers will soon be able to use cell phones without interruption as trains whisk them through tunnels that used to be among the few places wireless signals couldn’t reach.
“This will be a new convenience for our customers,” T General Manager Michael Mulhern said yesterday. “And it will be a benefit to safety and security, so we’re excited about it.”

Wrong… this will be a new annoyance for their customers… As someone who usually goes to Boston 2-3 times a week, I think having cell phone access on the trains is going to make travelling on the T even more irritating.

UPDATE: Dan Flynn posts the top ten things he hates about public transportation… I can agree and/or empathize with them all. I’d have make number 11: The women who were so much perfume that you can’t breathe when they’re on the train.

I’ve long believed they should include a copper mesh in the skins of subway cars; either that or have separate cars for talkers…

Jay — I’ve addressed it.. not here.. my other sites.. If all you’re going to do is demand i talk about things, then start your own site and talk about what you want, instead of suggesting that every single story that you find to be worth talking about must be talked about here.
