Pro-Abortion Groups Fear Bush’s Nominees
By Matt Margolis | December 24, 2004
Andrea Yates and Susan Smith may be in jail, but the armies of women who consider themselves mainstream—but think it’s okay to kill unborn children—fight on, and they are angry as ever. Earlier today, Nancy Keenan, president of the pro-abortion group released a statement in response to President Bush’s renominating twenty for federal judgeships whom Senate Democrats denied an up-or-down vote. “”It looks like Jerry Fallwell got his Christmas wish list into the President on time,” Keenan said, “but even if he drops these nominations down the Senate’s chimney, there’s nothing he can do to make them any less out of the American mainstream. Why doesn’t the President understand that all anyone is asking for is judges who’ll respect personal freedom and privacy?”
The President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Gloria Feldt, is another Scrooge this holiday season. “The holidays are supposed to be a time of peace and community,” she said, “Instead President Bush has decided to re-nominate judges who do not uphold our fundamental human and civil right to make our own childbearing choices.”
Both Keenan’s and Feldt’s sentiments are morally equivalent to saying slavery should be legal because Americans have right to own property.
It’s very sad that the Pro-Abortion Gestapo have to demonize people who are so “out of the mainstream” to believe that all life is valuable and precious.

THE RIGHT’S ASSAULT ON THE HOLIDAY SEASON
I’ve noticed more and more lately, that if you wish a Reich Whinger “Happy Holidays” or “Season’s Greetings” they become quite angry, as though you’ve just told them to go straight to hell. They begin to twitch and spasm, their faces turn several shades of red, and on more than one occasion I’ve wondered if their fury would turn to violence.
Intolerance by the Reich Whingers toward the holiday season hasn’t received attention by the Reich Whinge media or the blogosphere, but it’s there and it has been growing. Take for example Lou Dobb’s Tonight in which the host of the show becomes hysterical over the decision by some department stores to use the popular, and appropriate, phrase “Happy Holidays.”
Gee, you’re a poster child for tolerance Dobbs, except when it comes to people who wish you a “Happy Holidays” or “Season’s Greetings.” For that eggregious offence there can be no tolerance obviously. Dobbs then goes on to display just how rooted his intolerance of those who choose to celebrate the holiday season really is.
That’s right, anyone who says “Happy Holidays” to him is wrong. He is so crazed and intolerant that he cannot even accept someone uttering the phrase “Happy Holidays” to him. But that’s not surprising since this is typical of the kind of tolerance you expect from a Reich Whinger.
This intolerance isn’t limited to hissy fits on the airwaves either. The Reich Whingers have also taken it upon themselves to punish anyone who decides to celebrate the holiday season.
You see, in the world of the Reich Whingers there is simply no room for anyone who celebrates the holiday season. You must celebrate only in the manner they prescribe or there will be consequences.
It’s clear Reich Whingers are becoming the Grinches who stole the holiday season, but I for one will not be cowed by their hatred of Kwanzaa or their bullying.

Hi Matt,
I’d love to know if you disagree with the president on any issues. My dad proudly proclaims himself to be a dittohead and hannitized. He’s proud that he does not think for himself. Do you think for yourself? Without challenging your beliefs (i.e. reading books that contradict your position)you have no ability to delineate propaganda from fact. I’ve read a number of right-wing books lately such as Linda Chavez’s book which condemns labor unions. Chavez speaks repeatedly on the unions’ liberal stance on abortion and gays but never once talks about globalization or sweatshops in China. She never talks about trade policies or economics at all. Her rant is unfounded altogether.
Please read “Confessions of an Economics Hitman.” I would love to know what you think about it.
Merry X-mas

I think Spector’s comments were also noteworthy demonstrating his inability to honor his word. I did find that your column has a resident Nazi moonbat troll in Mr. McCelland. No doubt he is busy burning cerches and egging groups who carrol.

re: Deanna
the problem with liberals is that they think anyone who sees things differently from them doesn’t think for themselves.
These are the types that read Al Franken or watch Michael Moore and think they’re getting objective information.
It is safe to say that I think a lot more than Deanna does. Conservatives have to think more than liberals because liberals have dominated the media and public education system for so long.
if Deanna wants to have a battle of brains, she can bring it on.. but coming here saying “oooh, i’m so open minded that i can claim i read a book by someone who i disagree with,” and pretending like she actually took an objective look at before concluding the claims of the book were “unfounded” doesn’t mean diddly squat.

The answer to the assault on Christmas is blindingly simple: School vouchers. Vouchers are secretly the most frightening proposal made by conservatives. This is because it is the solution to so many social ills caused by the public school system. This system is largely controlled by the extreme and liberal wacko teachers unions.
Their argument against them goes something like this: “But if the kids go, we’ll get less money!”
Our answer should be: “Well, shouldn’t the money follow the kids? What will you need it for with no-one to teach?”
We should all fight for more and better parochial, faith based, and private schools where we can go hear our kids sing CHRISTMAS songs and not some vague and watered down versions like they perform at public schools. It might be nice if they learned accurate American and World History and American values for a change. Hmmm, values based education, what a concept. We have the answer to this problem in our grasp – lets exercise it!
