just highlighting the intolerance and bigotry of the left.
I could care less about him personally, but i have no issue with jumping on ridiculous things like what he said and being critical of it.
Let’s see, who’s the bigot? On one hand, you’ve got me and folks like me – who think that we should allow all Americans to follow the faith of their choice. On the other hand, you’ve got the hardcore religious right (which, for the purposes of this argument, I’m assuming Matt Margolis is) who wants to impose their will on America – and decides who is godly and who isn’t.
Oliver I must tell you that as a member of the Boy Scouts, I find your statement to be ludicrous. But even more to the point, I’d like to point out that violence and property destruction against Republicans during the campaign were rampant. And, incidents of anti-Republican violence FAR outnumbered similar acts against Democrats. I would say that intolerance of opposing views backed up by violent behavior puts your party in the mold of the Taliban far more so than the Republicans.
Oliver, I’m a secular Jew.
I do however know a number of evangelical Christians. None of whom have ever tried to impose their will on me or any else.
What defines “imposing their will” to you Oliver? Voting in large numbers?
There was a lot of idiotic violence on both sides of the aisle, though I saw more orchestrated work (like Phil Parlock) on the Republican side.
No, imposition of will is not voting. Changing the laws so that one particular dogma becomes law is imposition of will, or creating an atmosphere where nonbelievers are not afforded the same rights/privilege as all Americans.

Sorry Oliver, but that statement won’t float. Saying there was a lot on both sides is both a cop out and wrong. Republicans were assaulted. Several times offices were raided by thugs from the AFL-CIO (they’re organized, right?), many offices were ransacked and several time shots were fired. Many liberals wrote stories fantasizing about the assasination of the president. I wrote about these incidents here as they were happening.
Funny that the “tolerent” party resorted to violence so quickly. Do you think we just deserve it because we are unthinking inhuman monsters? Hello Joe Goebbles!

So Chris, we deserve it then eh? We deserve to be attacked, reviled, and killed? Is that your position? Guess thats why I’m also an NRA memeber and strong proponent of the 2nd Amendment (and a pretty fair shot). Thanks for the warning. Both you and Oliver refuse to condenm violence against Republicans and instead justify it. Ever read “How To Make Friends And Influence People” ? I guess not.

Nobody’s attacking or killing Christians in this country! I’m sorry about your mental illness, I hope you get better before you hurt yourself or somebody else. Have fun with your persecution complex! I pity your sorry ass!
