  1. Mike Says:

Congradulations Mike your candidate has won and I for one was glad to see it was all done fairly. No one wanted a repeat of 2000. But now we think you and the other young Bush supporters should really put your support firmly behind the president and serve your country. Here below are the following websites for you and your supporters to join. Oh yes and just in case you do not have the time to visit these websites we have contacted the recruiters in your state for you. Good going soldier you’re in the service now-thank you for doing all you can do.
    Saluting you

    MISSION ACCOMPLISHED MATT!!!!

Oh and Mike… Serving in the Military is a volunteer thing… Don’t go socialist on us :)

    Fred oh and former vet

  3. Ace Says:

Why would anyone vote for a nazi?

  4. Kahn Says:

Ace - exactly sir. That is why we voted for George W. Bush.
No - wild propaganda movies (FH/911)
    No - socialized medecine
    No - confiscation of guns
No - violence against opponents (like the MULTIPLE attacks on Bush campaign offices and workers)
    No - Hate based campaign
    No - minimizing religous influence

You are soooo right. Thank God we did NOT elect the nazi.

  5. Mike Says:

Yes Fred “the former vet”thats why we are asking Mike and his fellow bloggers to volunteer in the service, to show their support fully. Surly you are not afraid to stand up fully for your beliefs are you?

  6. Mike Says:

In all seriousness why ahve most young “bloggers for bush” not volunteered to back the president? Curious

  7. Miles Davis Says:

Kahn none of that was going to happen and hopefully you knew that. Because otherwise you casted a wildly ignorant vote.

But that doesn’t matter, the election is over and Mr. Bush has won it. I’m very interested to see what Bush can do with a real mandate, a Republican Congress, and probably a conservative Supreme Court.

Kahn which of Bush’s promises are you most excited for him to fulfill in his new term?

  8. Kahn Says:

Mike - I did MY time in the Marine Corps. You

Miles - I do not accept the premise.
No - wild propaganda movies (FH/911)FH911 did happen didn’t it? Do you argue it was not a propaganda movie? It was crap full of quotes out of context edited to appear much different and many many flat out lies. Give me a break.
    No - confiscation of guns
Please read the bill JFK2 co-sponsored - not the assault weapons ban
No - violence against opponents (like the MULTIPLE attacks on Bush campaign offices and workers)
This HAPPENED. Don’t you remember ALL the links I posted in other strings? Give me a break.
    No - Hate based campaign
How about all those “Re-defeat Bush” stickers, the “anyone but W stickers?” the wild hate spewed by the left? Remember hearing on Oprah that rape would legalized under GWB?
    No - minimizing religous influence.
If you “say” you have faith but will not act on it. Then you are either a liar or a hypocrite. Kerry and the left have comsisyently opposed judges with any trace of religous conviction becausse they are afraid they will overturn the abortion laws. “Laws, made by judges, enforced by judges.

  9. Kahn Says:

Geeesh, I always see the spelling errors as soon as I post.

  10. Robert Says:

Give it up, Kahn…the Democrats are in full denial mode. You’ll never convince them. And until they change, they’ll keep getting their asses whipped. Yes, that’s right, Tuesday was nothing but a complete and thorough asswhipping. It’s not merely about a 51-49 spread…by the way…something Clinton never accomplished. It’s also about losing four seats in the Senate, including the chief obstructionist Daschle. It’s also about losing more seats in the House. This was a massive ass-whipping. Terry McAuliffe…call your proctologist.

And by the way…Tuesday’s results prove for the second time (2002 was the first) that Floridians are over the 2000 election. All the vows by national Democrats to make Jeb pay in 2002…all the promises that W would suffer in 2004…just more denial. But you watch…in 2008 they’ll still be trying to make an issue of Florida 2000.

The promise that I’m most excited about Bush keeping? The promise to keep making America safer. God willing, hopefully there will be no more successful terrorist attacks in America. And if that’s the case, I look forward to seeing Rudy or Pataki or whoever run commercials quoting Kerry saying America isn’t any safer. You know, when it gets right down to it, since the major theme in this election was about who should be trusted to keep America safe, the Democrats are in the position of almost having to hope for terrorist attacks. Think about it…if we have four years of safety, free from attacks…who in the right minds would ever vote for a Democrat in 2008?

  11. rfj Says:

    Yeah. What’s your address again?
    Rich

  12. Elephant Man Says:

I have a suggestion for Mike.

Why don’t you go to Iraq and protest the “wrong-headed efforts” of President Bush? I’m sure the iraqi “freedom fighters” would welcome your efforts.

Perhaps you could be a human shield and protect iraqi civilians.

Now is the time to take action instead of bemoaning the Iraq war from the safety of your keyboard.

You question by inference, the courage of Bush supporters yet you display the same lack of courage as those you question.

    Curious.

  13. Jacob Says:

No - wild propaganda movies (Stolen Honor)
No - healthcare only for wealthy
No - confiscation of guns (kerry supports the second amendment)
    No - violence (period)
    No - Fear based campaign
No - minimizing religous influence (the pope is against the war on iraq)

you can spin it either way. let’s make arguments based on facts not opinions, ok.

  14. Miles Davis Says:

I guess Rich but thats more of an abstract generality open to interpretation, I should have better worded that question.

I meant which of Bush’s promises on the issues were you looking forward to. What changes he is going to make that you are looking forward to. What new policy, what new initiative. I’m curious Kahn what you are most excited about too.

  15. mike Says:

    To elephant and etc.
I would not fight a war I did not believe in. If bush said he wanted to liberate a people he should have said so fromt the beginning instead of making up the waepons story then we could have some respect for him.
But in your support for bush why not volunteer then? YOu still haven’t answered that instead you ask me to go in your place..typical. Besides I protested the war and the RNC here. I live in new york just a few blocks from where WTC once stood. Most of You experienced 9/11 thru your screens.Isaw the bodies jupm out the windows and land. What they also never showed on TV here were all the unattached arms and legs and torsos found on the lower roofs and balcony’s. When you experince that let me know. I also served in the Airforce for 5 years. What about you? It really is put up or shut time. I think if you pulled the lever for Bush then you should volunteer to fight his war. Otherwise you are all hypocrites and that is something you truly cannot hide or run from. I will be happy to continue to give out your emails to recruiting stations and you can speak to them.
SOmething we can all agree on…
Also all of you 18 to 25 year olds who chose not to vote at all-you should be drafted and we should hear none of you complain about the state of the world. Both parties got on their knees for you and you responded with apathy. I think getting everyone to vote is something we could all agree on regardless of who you cast your vote for. To those of you who have not you get what you deserve. To all thanks.

  16. skipkent Says:

But in your support for bush why not volunteer then?

I think he tried, but they wouldn’t let him in. Something about “…already doing a bang up job on the home-front.”

That’s what really bothers you, isn’t it?

The fact that he IS fighting, fighting fair and WINNING!

    That must really hurt . . .

  17. Kahn Says:

Welll, Stolen Honor did have those two medal of honor winners in it. Yah, those guys are credible. Funny, no receptions, no film festival ovations for THOSE guys.

Here is a link - sums up pretty good you libs and your reactions…

    http://www.zombietime.com/sf_rally_november_3_2004/

  18. todd Says:

    Kahn—

You’re correct. Those photos and signs do sum up my feelings on this election. However, I also believe it was a fair election and, unfortunately, this country got what it deserved. Here’s my take on what people voted on:

    1) Don’t like the fags.
    2) Abortion, and all sex-ed (besides abstaining), is evil.
    3) Bush and I both believe in invisible superheroes.
    4) Iraq = Osama bin Laden.

It’s one thing to vote for Bush because you understand his policies. It’s quite another to make a mean, ill-informed choice.

    So…good job red states!

  19. Lou Says:

    Hi all,

Another patriotic liberal joining the chat…

I’ve been searching for meaning in what has happened in the past few days. Part of me honestly believed that Kerry would win this election and when he didn’t I felt physically sick, like America (not just Democrats) had lost something. I just don’t understand Bush’s appeal. His domestic and foreign policies seem destined to weaken America and jeopardize our position as a superpower. It feels a bit like we’re the big bully at school that kicks people’s asses because we don’t like the way they look. Am I wrong?

I was imported here when I was 8 y.o. and can honestly say that I love this country. I joined the Air Force as a legal “alien” and took the oath of allegience a few years later to become a citizen. You could say that I wasn’t simply born American, I CHOSE this country. I want us to prosper and grow and to remain strong internally and externally. It seems to me that we’re heading in the wrong direction.

That said, I’m really interested in hearing the why’s of casting a vote for Bush. What am I not understanding? Thanks.

  20. Lou Says:

BTW Kahn, the link you posted does not “sum up” my reaction to the election. A bunch of idiots running around shouting for revolution is not what the Democratic party is about. And since when did liberal become a bad word? Dictionary definition: “Liberal: Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry; Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded.” Doesn’t sound like a bad thing to me.

  21. Dennis Promboon Says:

Today is a very sad day. We are divided more than ever. After all, John Kerry lost not because President Bush is a better leader. John Kerry lost strategically in Ohio. But more importantly, John Kerry lost in popular votes because 51% of our fellow Americans believes that President Bush is being honest about Iraq and can protect their values. After all, we, Americans, value our values more than issues pressing our values. We chose to ignore the fact that President Bush was dishonest about the rationale for the war. We chose to ignore that President Bush has been pleasing big corporations and the rich with the expense of regular folks like you and me. We chose to ignore that President Bush has been invading our constitutional rights and our environments. We chose to ignore that our integrity as a nation is more important than our values. We chose to ignore that an immoral leader should not be chosen to maintain our moral value.

Our obsessions with superficiality and image have once again shown the world that we really know that we are ignorant and arrogant and no one can force us to change. We are picking ignorance and ideology over intelligence and issues. Rest in peace, America.

  22. Miles Davis Says:

This whole voting for the President according to “moral values” idea is nonsensical. It resembles Bismarck’s Kulturkampf of division, derision, and diversion more so than a sincere attempt to protect morals.

I am a Catholic, and so I am pro life and against euthanasia and those sorts of things. But the president of the United State’s responsibility lies not with imposing my morality but leading and improving the nation. I can’t just award someone for starting a disasterous war that is isn’t making me safer or for domestic policies that weaken the needy and empower those who have no need for it. I can’t vote for someone that I know favors artifical persons (corporations) over real ones. These issues actually affect me, moral issues that the president has little to no power over do not.

And the gay marriage issue is just a form of bigotry and it disgusts me that people would so blind to vote for someone merely because they oppose it more. I live in Massachusetts, I know gay people, and there is no rational reason to prevent them from recieving the same rights as straight couples. The Right tries to justify their opposition with “science” more resembling eugenics than actual science and with religious appeals that fall flat. No one is forcing churches to do anything that they do not want to do, its not a religious issue, its a civil rights issue and its not some bizarre zero sum game where more gay marriage weakens straight marriage.

Now Kahn I’m still curious, what initative or policy that this man has promised are you looking forward to the most?

  23. Kahn Says:

Todd - if that was your view, shaped by LEFTY propaganda then no wonder you voted the way you did. Its pretty extremist, and kind of ignorant.

Lou, I grew up in western Mass. I know what liberalism means and it is NOT the dictionary description you have here. AND, Kerry ran away from the term as much as we tried to pin it on him. I would have respected him more if he said he was liberal instead of lieing about it. I respect John Dean for that.

  24. todd Says:

    Kahn—

OK. Point taken. I admit I’m being extreme because right now I’m very angry at the direction we’ve chosen. However, I’m hardly being ignorant. You say “I know what liberalism means and it is NOT the dictionary description you have here.” - what is liberalism to you? Give us a defensible position. Here’s why I call myself a liberal. Generally speaking, I believe that the poor and the disenfranchised of this country should be helped by the government. We should use our wealth wisely to help those who need it the most, not the rich and well-connected. Religion (not faith) has no place in government. And we deserve to be talked to honestly and with respect by our president.

But to be honest, I really don’t care, Kahn, whether you’re a liberal or a conservative. I do care whether or not you’re paying attention to the consequences of your vote. If you want to tell any of your gay and lesbian friends, neighbors, and co-workers that you support a president who wants to pass a constitutional amendement to ban gay marriage, go for it.

If you want to tell the women you know that you voted for a president who will try his hardest to overturn Roe v. Wade, be my guest.

If you truly belive, after the 9/11 commission, after the Dulfer report, after admissions by Rumsfeld, Powell, and Bush himself, that Iraq had significant connections to al-Qaeda and posed an “imminent threat”, please, cast your vote, my friend.

I keep reading talk on pro-Bush blogs about “what a great leader he is” and that he’s “tough”. What are the specifics? Pushing us into debt? Slogging into a war against the least of our enemies? Pissing off our allies at a time when we face a stateless, murderous group of fanatics? (fyi, that’s Osama, not Saddam) Is it “tough” to never admit a mistake? Guantanamo? Abu Ghraib? Do those places make you feel proud to be an American?

Please - read Miles, read Lou, read Dennis. I didn’t come to my views by reading a bunch of lefties. I came to my views by being sober and honest about Bush’s leadership.

    Check yourself.

  25. mike again Says:

Yes Kahn you really should do dome reading todd is correct, Stop labeling Liberal vs conservative it is a wasted effort for all. Grow up think for yourself and try to listen to ehat others are saying-give it some thought. Question everything. “Who is more the fool-the fool himself or those who follow him?” Stop the badgering , name calling. Matts comments are a waste of time, negative and not the least bit helpful. Time to gt off our butts and help someone who really needs it this bickering is pointless. Let me ask you this…I’m sure their is some child in your town who can’t read, can’t write and no one to help . Where are you? If you can read this crap you could spend your time being more productive. Animals and homeless in shelters have no one to care for them but we waste our time here. Matt your a fat fuckin ass-seriously could you go out and help someone instead of complaining about John (the election is over) Kerry? Even star a fundraiser to help some one do something. Think about it.
