Wow! Kerry kicked butt! That was amazing!

Bush stumbled almost every time he tried to speak. He was clearly flustered, and was even lost at times. He can’t think on his feet, which I think even his supporters have to admit, but this is worse. He looked incompetent. In the split screen, when he wasn’t talking, he looked peeved… bitchy even. Clear victory for Kerry. Polls will start to swing toward Kerry right away. I expect we will have a new terrorist warning shortly in a vain attempt to prop up Bush.

    Matt Drudge Would disagree:
    LOCKHART: DEBATE CONSENSUS A ‘DRAW’
(NOTE: Joe Lockhart - Forger extordinaire of the
    CBS fake documents)

Unbeknownst to Kerry adviser Mike McCurry, a C-SPAN camera quietly followed McCurry as he found Kerry adviser Joe Lockhart on Spin Alley floor and asked him his impression of the debate. Lockhart candidly said to McCurry , “The consensus is it was a draw.”

I have to agree with Lockhart - a draw.

Kerry presented well, but his ideas were all over the map. He also made several factual errors (for example, the NY Subway did NOT close during the GOP Convention). I would have been happier if Bush had concentrated on Kerry’s Senate history of working against intelligence and defence at every turn instead of working the flip flop issue so much.

And you libs - come on, kool-aide aside - North Korea got their nuclear material during the Clinton administration. And JFK2’s plan to go it alone with the north flies in the face of his Iraq policy - don’t ya think? Truth is, Korea is WAY more scary than Iraq in many ways. But, they have different neighbors - namely; South Korea, Russia, China, and Japan. And, they are heavily armed with a million men under arms - what did John want us to do? Invade with the 35,000 troops we have there?

Sorry boys, but as they say in Texas, “that dog don’t hunt.”

Kerry outclassed Bush in every possible way. The President better start dealing with the mess in Iraq instead of trying to pretend things there are progressing. It’s not “hard work,” it’s WAR. Describing it as hard work is offensive to those who are putting their lives on the line. It is high time the President takes responsibility for his war.

Matty what the fuck channel were you watching last night? Bush lost bigtime. I knew his very first load of shit would be “september 11th taught us” garbage.

Bush definitely could have done better, I think he was too focused on staying on the incessant “flip flop” message and he wasn’t able to improvise very well. Bush relied not on persuasive arguments or compelling facts in most cases but instead relied massively on the repetition of these loaded terms: Hard work, mixed signals, strong, consistency, liberty. Bush certainly did not win, Kerry’s arguments were better delivered and elaborated but I wouldn’t call it a lop sided win or the outcome obvious.

    Miles,

If you argue - persuasively - that dog crap is steak, you will still be wrong. Kerry was better - superficially. Bush is still the better man.

Bush answered the questions, and had substance..

Kerry has a “plan” he never explained. in fact, he outright avoided his “plan”.
