DNC To Attack Bush’s Guard Service
By Matt Margolis | September 12, 2004
Drudge is reporting that that the DNC is going to launch a fresh attack on Bush’s guard duty.
While this is not beneath the Democrats, I find this to be extraordinary hypocrisy of Terry McAuliffe, chairman of the DNC. I caught him on tape at the Republican National Convention after an appearance on the Hugh Hewitt Show (on August 31st) claiming that it is George W. Bush who "wants to talk about a war 35 years ago."
Well, it’s plainly obvious who really wants to make this election about Vietnam.

The President visited the Russian Embassy in Washington today. First President ever.

Matt,
The major news organizations - if they want to survive the year 2004 need to investigate the document scadal now. I was a Nixon campaign volunteer. Watergate hurt, and it took a long time to admit to myself what he had done. This scandal is the Democrat Watergate.
The papers reportedly went from the DNC to the Kerry Campaign to CBS. Unless proven otherwise then, the source is the DNC. They MUST expalin how this came to be. It sure looks like it was part of a master DNC smear plan that fits in with a campaign they’ve had planned for this week.

there are also reports that the papers originated with rove to make kerry look bad…right now, no one knows for sure…

Marshall - no, there are NOT “reports” to that effect. There is speculation within the Dem camp of that. But, there is no chain of evidence to support it. There IS a chain that leads to the DNC. And, it looks like this campaign has been planned for some time, so these documents may well be part of it.
Blaming Rove is like blaiming McGovern for Watergate. It looks like Kerry is Nixon reborn - complete with a secret plan to end the war. Welcome to my world 30 years ago.

well, if you do your research, you’ll see that there aren’t any more “reports” that this originated with the DNC than there are that this started with rove…so if you’re going to use “reportedly” with one case, you have to use it with the other.
in fact, there are more stories about rove’s involvement than kerry’s.

Marshall. So be it. Take that tac. I have seen reports detailing the chain of events to the the DNC. I have only seen reports along the lines of tieing it to Rove beacuse only he could be so maniacal. Of course, if CBS would come clean there would be no doubt would there?
Every day you Democrats delay digging into this is another day for the cancer on your party to grow. I choose that phrase carfully. Nixon was told nearly the same thing. You won’t just lose in November, you’ll have to take a decade to rebuild like we did after Watergate.
And, with the possible exceptions of ABC and the Washington Post - the “mainstream” media will be destoyed. From my point of view, thats good as they are pretty close to a mass liberal conspiracy. But, You and your party MUST realize what losing the remaining remanants of the media monopoly will mean. For your own sake - look into this. Not you personally - the party. You guys just can’t be this stupid.

Personally, I have no problem with it if Rove himself wrote the memos, then found a way to get them into the handsa of the DNC. It would be just like cops who set up a sting operation to nail drug dealers. If Rove did it, then the DNC and CBS just got nailed by the sting. Good for Rove if he did it.
The reality however is that the Democrats likely cooked this whole hting up on their own. It will be a nail in Kerry’s coffin.

This whole did he server or did he not serve guard crap is ridculous. The papers are obviously forged.
I was in the army guard and though a different branch than the air guard I have never encountered any rules in the national guard that state when you make your drills. I have seen guys make up 4 drills in one month. If you have the service points you have done your duty. You do not get them by not showing up. Bush had all the points he needed with plenty to spare.
The libs are fixing bayonets and charging into a machine gun nest. They are desperate and the american public knows it. The only ones who are going to fall for this attack are the coverted anyway, so I don’t know why the libs are even bothering. It is obvious that they cannot piss in tall weeds with Big Dogs.

robert, i’m glad you’re the only one who knows what the “reality” is. since even the news sources don’t know, maybe you can inform them…
also, if rove is involved, it doesn’t “nail” the democrats, ’cause they wouldn’t have even been involved. think about it…

Marshall you are correct, there is no one out there looking at the Kerry campaign being the source of the
frauder memo:http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=7099
Hmmm CBS itself is looking to see if the Kerry campaign may have been involved. You are correct, NO ONE out there is thinking that.
Actually you are correct is this case. (Being serious here.) IF the donks aren’t involved, this “sting” would only topple a major network’s news division. (However this “third rate forgery” will likely end up having a connection to someone very involved with either the DNC or the Kerry campaign much like Watergate and “The Committee to Re-elect the President.”)

did i ever say they’re not considering that possibility?
September 13th, 2004 at 3:41 pm
Marshall,
I’m having a hard time picking out your point. Are you Senator Kerry? Hi Johnny - good thing you have that whole gigalo thing working for you after you don’t get that job you’re trying for!
September 13th, 2004 at 4:39 pm
ok, i’ll help you out. i think it’s necessary to be objective. i want to clarify, i’m not saying that there’s no way the DNC is involved. i’m saying no one knows for sure yet. it’s all speculation. we’ll probably know soon though.
but i am saying it’s dumb to pin it on kerry now, before knowing…just as dumb as it would be for me to say there’s no way he’s involved…
if you’re not objective, you can’t really make sound decisions.
(btw, if something was discovered about the originator of this in the past 3 hours, i don’t know about it, ’cause i’m busy writing a dumb paper).
