God Bless America

By Matt Margolis | August 10, 2004

Some things piss you off…

Other things restore your faith:

Citing concerns about terrorists crossing the nation’s land borders, the Department of Homeland Security announced today that it planned to give border patrol agents sweeping new powers to deport illegal aliens from the frontiers abutting Mexico and Canada without providing the aliens the opportunity to make their case before an immigration judge.

I think this makes you feel good to. Chris Matthews saying something I hope most Americans think as well. Shows the fakeness of John Kerry.

This is the correct move, and before the bleeding hearts start, let me address it. This is not violating the illegals ‘rights’. They have no rights in the US as they are here illegally. They only have the right to be sent back. In many countries, illegal border crossing will get you killed. The only reason they had a policy previously was to review if they qualified for political asylum due to all of the problems we had at one time with communist regimes in Central America. That has since ceased to be an issue. If you can’t show proof of your citizenship or right to be in the country via a visa or greencard….then goodbye! Period, end of story!

    Matt,

What is it that makes you so happy? I think border control is a tricky issue myself.

many are going to say that we have given Border patrol officers the power of judges. The next question will be about those individuals seeking asylum. Can’t believe the ACLU hasn’t begun to bark

Don’t hold your breath. There aren’t enough Border Patrol officers to do the job as it is, and their budgets are beings slashed.

Besides, don’t act as if any of you really oppose illegal immigration–Bush supports illegal immigration and all of you support whatever Bush says and does no matter what.

Mexicans are still getting through at an alarming rate, anyone could too, the real problem is at the container docks in Ensenad B.C Mexico where they are off loaded and driven up to the Tijuana/San Diego port of entry. The Mexican gov’t is incredibly unscrupulous and corrupt especially at the lower levels. They are bribed to let huge drug shipments get through. A nuclear bomb in one of the trucks could be detonated without ever crossing into the U.S. killing a million people and wiping out half of the west coast Naval and marine bases here. The immigrant issue is a smoke screen to hide the real culprits, the wealthy Mexican Oligarthy and their obscenely crooked government
