Kerry/Edwards may not vote on gay marriage…

Democrat John Kerry and his running mate John Edwards may not end up voting on a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, a polarizing issue in the presidential campaign.

Kerry spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter said Kerry and Edwards would be in the Senate to vote against the amendment if it came up, but they will not be there to vote on the procedural measure.

Kerry doesn’t show up for work most of the time anyways, why start now?

    Good.

I personally would like to punch in the face every idiot who believes that same-sex marriges should be against the law.

Say, weren’t conservatives the ones who were into states rights? Weird, eh?

  2. todd Says:

why would anyone vote for fags to bang each other?

  3. Kyle Says:

I really hope that’s sarcasm. I really, really hope so. Please tell me if it is or isn’t; I’m not gonna start ranting if you are.

  4. todd Says:

It’s my personal opinion that homosexuals are wrong in what they do. Rant all you want it’s just an opinion. You’re a homosexual?

  5. qt Says:

i don’t understand the point of this post. he’s going to be there for the important vote…on the amendment. but he won’t be there for the procedural measure vote. there’s no need to be. there are already numerous new stories out that bush will be facing defeat!

  6. Aaron Says:

This is one of those instance wher he’s announcing he isn’t going to work, rather than just not showing up…

    Kerry/Edwards…Resign!

  7. Kyle Says:

    Actually, I’m straight.

Why are you against homosexuals? If you want, we can carry this to either AIM or MSN and not clog up this board, though doing that would allow others to express their opinons as well.

  8. Um Yeah Says:

    I’m a sphincter-spiker and I demand my rites!

  9. Kyle Says:

Oh just to add: there’s not one reason homosexuals should not be able to marry. Give me some. Oh, and they can’t be religious. The US isn’t a religious nation.

  10. todd Says:

lol. My being against a man placing his penis inside the anus of another man has nothing to do with religion. What a laughable thing to say to me. Religious reasons? Why not just say dippy-doodle-itis and don’t take any wooden nickels??

  11. Kyle Says:

I said it because that’s what most of the arguments I hear consist of. I didn’t mean it pertaining to you :p

And it’s great that you have a problem with butt sex. I personally don’t want to own a gun. But that doesn’t mean nobody else should

  12. todd Says:

    lol

  13. Jay Says:

People who hate gays are all gay themselves.

That said, this amendment is a total waste of time. It would pass if some accomodation was included for civil unions, but the religious right that’s all riled up about gays in the first place won’t stand for that, so the amendment is DOA.

Note to qt: Matt is posting this to bash Kerry. I don’t think he really hates gays.

  14. qt Says:

jay, i didn’t think he hates gay people. i just don’t understand the point of this (original) post. it doesn’t make kerry look bad, because he’s doing nothing wrong (he’s casting a vote for the amendment), and it certainly doesn’t make bush look good, ’cause the post has nothing to do w/bush, so what is the point!?!?!? what am i missing!??!?!

  15. Kyle Says:

Doesn’t matter, the point is now moot

  16. Jay Says:

The religious right can’t handle heterosexuality, how could they possibly deal with the idea of gays?

  17. Kyle Says:

I still have yet to hear a single reason on why two men or women should not be allowed to marry.

Let me rephrase that-I have yet to hear a reason that I did not refute

  18. Jeb Says:

Bush is the one who was on vacation almost half of his time in office, which let 9/11 happen. GW should get what you and I would if we pulled that crap — booted out of his job, and he will! Go Kerry!

  19. Kahn Says:

Jeb - thats a crock. That is counting time at Camp David - it’s like White House 2 in Maryland. NO other presidents have described time there as vacation. Look for some sources beyond Michael Moore.

  20. Matt Margolis Says:

    Moore’s calculation also included weekends…

i love how peopel also think that when the prez is on vacation that he’s not working.

no one complains about congress being out of session now do they?

  22. todd Says:

“hear a reason that I did not refute”
that’s some lame ego you got there doofus. You obviously know or love some fag somewhere. I know from your posts you’re not the all around knowledgeable guy. You’re a BushShitHead.

  23. qt Says:

actually, bush’s “vacation” b/f 9/11 was at his ranch in texas. he had decided to take the month off…as much as was possible, of course…it was the “big” news story in august…(that and condit…back in the day when we had no news)

  24. Kyle Says:

Hey todd, I love your post. Only, next time you post, perhaps you could have an intellegent post with logic in it, or maybe a debatable topic? I mean, it is rather easy to simply post insults, but…well, some of us try to see ourselves as better then that ;)
