“Conservative, Like Me” by John Kerry
By Matt Margolis | July 5, 2004
Nothing in politics amuses me more when a far left liberal campaigns and pulls the “I’m conservative” routine. John Kerry is now doing that.
Kerry recently said, “I oppose abortion, personally. I don’t like abortion. I believe life does begin at conception.”
Yeah, right. This is the same guy who was going to “fight for a woman’s right to choose” - yeah, I really believe he personally opposes abortion.
Then there’s him out in the midwest touting a gun, pretending to be pro-second amendment or something - despite his record of anti-gun votes. And I have to say just how deeply touched I am by his stories some alleged life on a rural farm in Massachusetts and said in an with Wisconsin TV that he better represented rural America’s conservative values…
You have to love it… “Look at me, I’m conservative!” How pathetic. Just because John McCain wasn’t going to join his ticket doesn’t mean he now has to pretend like he’s anything resembling a conservative. How sad…

Um, you can be anti-abortion and pro life.
I am. I’m personally against abortions, but I do believe in it being a choice.
Or is that just me lying?
And you can own a gun and believe in the second amendment, and try to make laws controlling guns as well. I know it’s hard to believe, but “controlling guns” and “banning them” are two different things. In fact, I believe there was a discussion earlier on the automatic weapn ban that isn’t really a ban.
But hey, why listen to me? I’m some idiot leftist, afterall :p

I guess you can be both pro-life and Pro-abortion; but quite honestly, that would make you a hypocrite.
Kerry is anything BUT conservative, who the hell does he think he’s fooling? as Bush said, it’s hard to imagine Ted Kennedy as the conservative senator from Massachusets…

I’s glad you said it :o) …

When I was a liberal, I used to talk that way. “I could never have an abortion, but I believe a woman has a right to choose.” Well, as I got older, common sense kicked in. I would’ve never killed my growing, living baby because I knew abortion was unjustified killing. How, then, could I support another woman’s right to kill her baby? It never made sense; I just knew it sounded PC.
I now realize it actually sounded stupid.

Luckily there is a 20 plus year voting record to prove he’s anything but a conservative!

True conservatism is about government playing a limited role and staying out of people’s lives. Bush has exploded the size of the Federal government, spent like a drunken sailor, gotten America involved in nation-building, and is trying to impose censorship on the American people. That doesn’t sound very conservative to me.

Finally, a liberal has made a statement with which I can agree.

See that little “:p” thing I added at the end?
That means I’m being sarcastic. It’s a joke.
I do hope the people who have actually read my posts would see me as a bit more intellegent then that, and would understand that I have a sense of humour.
But, eh, one could wish for a whole lot I suppose
And Jay is right. Look at the whole gay marrige thing. Whatever happened to those crazy state rights conservatives are supposed to swear by?

Why is everything sad? Why can’t it be idiotic or silly or defiant.
I don’t like abortion, I’m pro life, if someone I knew wanted to get an abortion I’d advise them not to very strongly. But I also realize that women probably have a different view on the issue in many cases. If I was in a position of power I’d probably want it much harder to get one but I don’t think I’d ban it. I don’t personally like alcohol but I wouldn’t ban that either. I don’t know how well the law could be enforced or if many women would die from illegal abortions.

For Immediate Release
Fearing that John Kerry will run for president again in ‘08, conservative singer/songwriter I’ve re-released this Halloween song I wrote about Kerry just prior to the election of ‘04. I’m afraid, not of Kerry wining in ‘08, but rather, that I will be subjected to John Kerry and his media blitz all over again.
The song is royalty free to conservative radio talk show hosts and can be heard and downloaded for free via this link:
