Kerrymandering And Corruption

Wednesday, June 30th, 2004

The Massachusetts House has voted to approve the bill to call for a special election if John Kerry were to vacate his seat in the Senate should he possibly win in November.

It’s kind of funny how desperate Democrats are to protect their own by changing the rules when it suits their purpose - heck even sometimes the rules have been ignored (cough-cough Lautenberg cough-cough)…

Part of me doesn’t care because John Kerry isn’t going to win anyways, but this law is still going to be on the books now - atleast until a future situation would benefit the Mass Dems more by reversing it.

Book Review: “Michael Moore Is A Big Fat Stupid White Man”

Tuesday, June 29th, 2004

The next time a Moore-lover tells you to go see Fahrenheit 911 ask them to read “Michael Moore Is A Big Fat Stupid White Man” first.

A Thousand Words And A Thousand Laughs

I know this is a few days too late, but here are some photos from the John Kerry fundraiser at the Walt Disney Concert Hall - stuff you didn’t see in the media.

Here’s my favorite one:

Red State Sell-Out or Caught Red Handed?

Sunday, June 27th, 2004

Drudge quoting Michael Moore:

‘We sold out in Fayetteville, home of Fort Bragg, We sold out in Army-base towns. We set house records in some of these places. We set single-day records in a number of theaters. We got standing ovations in Greensboro, N.C… The biggest news to me this morning is this is a red-state movie. Republican states are embracing the movie, and it’s sold out in Republican strongholds all over the country.

A FReeper looked into Moore’s claim, discovering something interesting.

Apparently the Moore flick is not playing in any major theatre in Fayetteville, according you Yahoo Movies.

FReepers disovered that Fahrenheit 911 is only showing in one small theater in Fayetteville.

Or Goldsboro, NC, home of Seymour Johnson AFB.

Nor are there listing for the Jacksonville area, where Camp Lejeune is. This includes, Havelock, where Cherry Point MCAS is located.

Quite interesting isn’t it? While obviously F911 is going to do well - -certainly Moore has accumulated an audience… but is he really a army-base/red state phenom? Highly questionable…

Massachusetts Dems Couldn’t Care Less About The Will of The People

Saturday, June 26th, 2004

Massachusetts Democrats are by far the most stupid and corrupt bunch I have ever seen. Humoring the possibility that John Kerry might win the election in November, Massachusetts lawmakers are pushing through a bill that would change Massachusetts state law so that in the event of a vacancy, the governor would not appoint a replacement to complete the remainder of the term.

Will This Be In Al Gore’s Next Speech?

Friday, June 25th, 2004

Remember Al Gore last week?:

“They dare not admit the truth lest they look like complete fools for launching our country into a reckless, discretionary war against a nation that posed no immediate threat to us whatsoever,”

“So when the bipartisan 9/11 commission issued its report finding ‘no credible evidence’ of an Iraq-al-Qaeda connection, it should not have come as a surprise. It should not have caught the White House off guard.”

Maybe he needs a history lesson:

The Clinton administration talked about firm evidence linking Saddam Hussein’s regime to Osama bin Laden’s al Qaeda network years before President Bush made the same statements.
The issue arose again this month after the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States reported there was no “collaborative relationship” between the old Iraqi regime and bin Laden.

In fact, during President Clinton’s eight years in office, there were at least two official pronouncements of an alarming alliance between Baghdad and al Qaeda. One came from William S. Cohen, Mr. Clinton’s defense secretary. He cited an al Qaeda-Baghdad link to justify the bombing of a pharmaceutical plant in Sudan.

Typical liberal “memory loss.”

Perhaps Michael Moore Should Have Interviewed Her

Friday, June 25th, 2004

Who better to gauge the appropriateness of Bush’s actions the morning of September 11th than someone who was there?

Michael Moore’s film “Fahrenheit 9/11″ criticizes President Bush for listening to Sarasota second-graders read a story for nearly seven minutes after learning the nation was under attack on Sept. 11, 2001.

But Gwendolyn Tose’-Rigell, the principal at Emma E. Booker Elementary School, says Bush handled himself properly.

“I don’t think anyone could have handled it better,” Tose’-Rigell told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune in a story published Wednesday. “What would it have served if he had jumped out of his chair and ran out of the room?”

Your typical Bush-hater would say that Bush was supposed to jump out of seat, and run off… perhaps even personally get a machine gun and start shooting… Or something like that… I’d be willing to bet if he had rushed out that liberals would be saying he should have handled himself better.

Tose’-Rigell, who was at Bush’s side, did not hear what White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card whispered when he squeezed past her to tell the president of the attacks, but “I knew it was something serious.”

“The president bit his lip and clenched his jaw,” she said. “I didn’t know what happened, whether it was something with his wife or children or something with the nation. I remember praying that God would watch over our school and protect our children.”

She said the video doesn’t convey all that was going on in the classroom, but Bush’s presence had a calming effect and “helped us get through a very difficult day.”

Perhaps Michael Moore should have interviewed her before cirticizing Bush for his actions that morning. Liberals who criticize Bush over his actions the morning of September 11th know absolutely nothing about leadership.

Sex Offenders For Kerry

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2004

Captain Ed over at Blogs For Bush has the scoop on this one:

A Democratic group crucial to John Kerry’s presidential campaign has paid felons — some convicted of sex offenses, assault and burglary — to conduct door-to-door voter registration drives in at least three election swing states.

America Coming Together, contending that convicted criminals deserve a second chance in society, employs felons as voter canvassers in major metropolitan areas in Missouri, Florida, Ohio and perhaps in other states among the 17 it is targeting in its drive. Some of the felons lived in halfway houses, and at least four returned to prison. …

Although it works against the re-election of President Bush, ACT is an independent group not affiliated with the Kerry campaign — federal law forbids such coordination. Yet ACT is stocked with veteran Democratic political operatives, many with past ties to Kerry and his advisers.

No matter how you slice this, it ain’t good for Kerry.

UPDATE: You got to love the Boston Herald… Here was there front page Thursday 6/24/04:

I was so amused I picked up an issue. I doubt any other papers were so bold.
