Is This The Best Excuse They Got?

The John Kerry campaign is making a relatively easy oversight into a major blunder by making farfetched excuses for them.
A spokeman for John Kerry told the Boston Herald that he believed Kerry’s website was struck by “a virus,” in order to explain the profanities discovered by the Drudge Report.
The Kerry campaign didn’t need to stoop that low and make excuses trying to absolve themselves of responsiblity for the profanities. The profanities came from other copywritten material republished on the site. A simple “We did not realize the profanties were left in the quoted material and we will fix those immediately,” would have been sufficient.
Why did the Kerry campaign feel they had to make a bogus cover story for this little thing? Old habit I suppose.

At least someone offers some sort of explanation about obsceneties. Look at the Bush administration. Some sort of huge security failure took place on 9/11/2001 and the only person who ever got fired over it is Bill Maher.

Or he could take the sandwich-monkey approach and blame the Bush administration by linking the obscenities on his website to 9/11 security failures. Never mind that Kerry and the democrats gutted the intelligence services. Nothing to see here, move along.

That wasn’t one of Kerry’s finer moments. He’s much better (stronger and factual) when he refuses to apologize for calling his apponents a bunch of crooks and liars.
