Say What, Kerry?

By Matt Margolis | February 16, 2004

The pathetic Democrats who see it fit to discuss Bush’s record in the National Guard (but not Bill Clinton’s draft dodging) just won’t let it go.

Why? Because they can’t win on the issues so all they have is strategy of attacks.

John Kerry once again has chosen to take an ambiguous position on this:

John Kerry said he does not plan to attack Bush on the issue but added that “the president has to speak for his own military record. And those of you in the news media, obviously, have asked questions about it and that’s where I’ll let it sit.”

Let it sit? Why can’t he just say something like he did in 1992:

The race for the White House should be about leadership, and leadership requires that one help heal the wounds of Vietnam, not reopen them; that one help identify the positive things that we learned about ourselves and about our nation, not play to the divisions and differences of that crucible of our generation.

We do not need to divide America over who served and how.

Come on Kerry, don’t give us this half-assed answer that absolves you of any responsibility and come out say today “We do not need to divide America over who served and how,” and tell everyone to drop this dead issue.

How many times does Bush have to prove his service?
How many times do the Democrats have to express their doubts over every single piece of proof?
How many years do we have to discuss this stupid issue?
How many elections do the the Democrats have to lose before they get it?

How long? Until Bush releases documents that show that he SERVED in Alabama. Simple. Nothing released to date shows that he did.

Oh. By the way, you can stick a fork in that laughable Kerry-Intern scandal.

Also– what issues do you claim the Dems can’t beat Bush on?

    Iraq? The Economy?

I’m really not following you. You mention the word “issues” but a check of your recent entries does not mention a single one. Your posts are all personal attacks. Kind of like Bush’s campaign.

How many documents have to be released that prove he was there before you get satisfied?

Iraq - Bush wins on that one.
the Economy - Bush wins on that one again.

Why is questioning Kerry’s record an “attack” but questioning Bush’s record an “issue”? can you explain that ???

    i didn’t think.

    sorry. you lose.

How come, Wbone, this whole kerry boning an intern thing, did the intern and her parents just days ago call Kerry a sleazeball, and say there are worse thigns to tell that haven’t been report, and now all of a sudden, “there was no relationship” ??? I think come campaign made a contribution to the intern to keep her mouth shut.

Hey Aaron for someone who claims not to listen to Rush you certainly repeat his talking points a lot. As for the whole what he said now vs what he said then, you do realise things change right? Maybe the line was crossed after Republicans made an ad comparing triple amputee Max Cleland to Osama, or maybe the line was crossed after the whole flightsuit fiasco.

UY, its a little hard to listen to Rush when you have a full time job where you can’t listen to the radio.

You must listen to Rush in order to know what his talking points are.

The ad that UY was referring to was a typical low brow mud-slinging political ad that is all too prevailent in politics. However, these types of dispicable attack ads are the bread and butter of the democrats. Anybody remember the “elect Bush and black churches will burn”? How about the ad linking Bush to lynching? I suspect that the real outrage of the democrats stems from having the tables turned and they don’t like being on the receiving end of such ads. As for the “flightsuit fiasco”, it was a fiasco for the democrats despite their spin. The “Mission Accomplished” sign was referring to the officers and crew of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln. They were returning from almost a year of continuous operations. The only mileage this “scandal” got was with the D.U. moonbat crowd. Kind of like the “plastic turkey scandal”.

Wow, Elephant Man is spinning like a top. BTW I do listen to Rush once in a while its a good way to know in advance what the right is “thinking”.

Did you guys see Frontpage Mag’s piece on Kerry today?

HOW does Bush win on Iraq? False pretenses? Involving our troops in a quagmire? Polls show that most Americans disapprove of Bush’s handling of Iraq.

HOW does Bush win on the economy? Most jobs lost since Herbert Hoover? Largest deficits in the modern era? Poll numbers show that most Americans disagree with Bush’s handling of the economy.

    So… I ask again. Issues?
Next time, try fleshing out an actual argument rather than just stating that Bush wins.

Remember, just because you disagree with me doesn’t mean you are right.

    How many documents?

    ALL TOGETHER NOW…

Until the administration releases documents that show that he SERVED in Alabama.

He even had dental records from Alabama–it’s a moot issue.

As for Jobs–have you looked at the Household employment survey levels? It’s at its highest levels ever Adv. Bush
    War on Terror? Adv. Bush
    Cultural Issues? Adv. likely Bush

Um Yeah replies in his typical obtuse fashion. Please point out the spin. Please prove me wrong. All I ask is that you spare me the same tired rhetoric that has been spewed over and over. Also do not provide links to websites like moonbat.org. For once I’d like to see a credible response rather than the standard “because Bush is evil” crap.

Wbone, I’d like to see those “poll numbers” you cited. Any more rhetoric er, talking points you want to share? By the way, didn’t you get the word? Kerry asked the donk minions to drop the AWOL non-issue. It seems he didn’t like the scrutiny that he was getting about his anti-war antics with Hanoi Jane et al. As for your comment “just because you disagree with me doesn’t mean you are right” is a sword that cuts both ways.

I dont get what you Kerry pumpers like about him?

Is it is repeated attempts to “pussify” US National Security, or his 900 billion increase in taxes?

    Im really curious.
