Kerry’s So Called Denial
By Matt Margolis | February 13, 2004
I heard Kerry’s interview this morning with Don Imus while on my way to work. When Imus asked him about the report on The Drudge Report yesterday about an affair between John Kerry and an unnamed woman.
John Kerry’s response to the allegations… “There’s nothing there.”‘
Don Imus, who recently endorsed Kerry, was told by the Massachusetts Senator there is “nothing there to report, you don’t have to worry, you won’t have to take back your endorsement.”
That’s not what I call a true denial. If the allegations were absolutely untrue, Kerry should have said “These allegations are completely false.” But he didn’t respond to the allegations, he essentially said the report didn’t have anything in it….
That’s the way I read it anyways.

Well… your “read” on the situation is another example of political dyslexia. Not even Fox News has reported this “scandal”… that should tell you something. There’s nothing to report.
Its just another example of how when the going gets rough for Bush, the baseless personal attacks get going. Nice try…
But no cigar.

Yeah, that whole Monica Lewinsky thing turned out to be nothing too.

When Clinton was president the reptiles of the far right investigated him, his wife, his business partners, his wife’s business partners, his mistresses, his travel agent, and the guy who was Arkansas governor after him. The best they could get him on was lying about being fellated in a trial they forced him into. The 1998 elections showed the public didn’t care and they impeached him anyway, although Part 2 (the part far right forgets) ended with the removal from office going down in flames and Clinton left office with 71% approval ratings.
So far under Bush the biggest terrorist attack on domestic soil took place and for 2 1/2 years the Bush administration has fought the investigation every step of the way, the reason given for a preemptive war against another nation has turned out to be false and an investigation is getting under war only due to intense political pressure, and questions about AWOL status which have floated around for years finally get responded to after Bush’s approval ratings dip below 50%. Seems like the far right ignores 9/11, no WMDs, and AWOL instead looking to see whether Kerry fooled around or Janet Jackson showed her boob for two seconds.

I can’t wait for the day that John Kerry shakes his finger at the American people like Clinton did.
