Democrats, Suck it Down!
By Matt Margolis | January 18, 2004
As I noted in Blogs For Bush, it is still early in campaign, but Bush’s poll numbers show a really comfortable lead over all of the Democrat contenders by 12-15 points in a poll of likely voters according to a Gallup poll last week.
While it’s still to early to predict the results of the general election, Bush is showing great strength. With the economy improving, Saddam’s capture, and a high approval rating, Bush is looking very good at this point:

Also, by looking at lots of various polls via Polling Report Bush shows strength in virtually all of them, with the exception of one CBS News/New York Times poll, which - quite frankly, you just can trust. So beware, this one anomalous CBS News/New York Times poll will be the talk of the left. As the cliche goes, the only poll that matters is the one taken by all the voters on Election Day… For the Democrats, the only poll about the general election that matters will be this CBS News/New York Times poll.

Now This Warms My Heart
I love it, Check out the latest stats on who might win in ‘04. I’d trust a Gallup poll, more reputable than CBS or the New York Times who are well known for being biased.
See also Matt’s blog. Same great news.

It seems to me that the only way the Democrats can get anyone’s attention is by tossing insults at the Republicans. We don’t ever really get to hear much about what the Dems stand for. At least, not from them. My biggest fear is that one party -the Dems- have gone so far around the bend to the left that they’re starting to make Russia of the 60s look tame. They have lost their credibility, when you really get down to looking at the facts. Let’s see… bigger gov’t, redistribution of the wealth, turning power of the U.S. military in Iraq over to the U.N., attacking the character of our President who is doing something about Al Qaida, etc, etc, etc. The Democrats have put the interests of their party ahead of everything -even national security! I’m not rich. Money is extremely tight for me. But I’d rather have conservatives who know how to lead, than so-called “compassionate” people like millionaires Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi try to keep me down on welfare as a means of bribing me for my vote. BTW, I noticed your election projection (red states vs. blue states), and predictably, the New England and the West coast are voting for socialists. It does surprise me, however, to see New Mexico projected as going to the right, and Pennsylvania to the left. O my beloved Pittsburgh! What are you doing?! Yours is a great blog, in my opinion. Keep up the good work!
