Bush Rules!

By Matt Margolis | August 28, 2003

The media would like you to believe that George W. Bush is skydiving in the polls.
The media would like you to believe that most Americans don’t support the war.
The media would like you to believe that Iraqis don’t like our presence in their country.
The media would like you to believe that the Iraqis overwhelmingly hate George W. Bush.

The media would like you to believe what they want you to believe.

But let’s look at the facts:

The latest Gallup poll shows Bush with a 59% approval rating. [At the time of this post]

A recent USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup poll shows that 63% of Americans say the war in Iraq is worth fighting, and 57% of Americans believe the war in Iraq is part of the overall War on Terror.

A story today from Fox News tells of an Iraqi couple who had a child on July 11, and chose to name their baby George Bush showing their appreciation for the United States’ efforts toppling Saddam Hussein’s regime.

And of course, there are plenty of other quotes and feelings by Iraqis that are given so little attention.

So what else is there to say, except Bush is doing great, things are going well, and God Bless America…

Enough with the whiny liberal media
Matt complains that “the media” wants you to think Bush is a failed leader, then that points to a bunch

This story is total, complete bullshit! Only an idiot would believe it.

What’s next - will all the jews name their offspring Hitler? How about Mengele?

    BUSH LIED - PEOPLE DIED!

H, the truth hurts when you haven’t been exposed to it much. I would recommend taking it in small doses until you build up your stamina enough to tolerate it at full-strength.

Start by reading the article in yesterday’s USA Today on rebuilding in Iraq, but I would recommend only reading 1 paragraph per hour and be sure to drink plenty of liquids.

Approval down to 52%, negatives up to 48%. Doesn’t look too good for Drinky.

    “Cole”

I’m curious which poll you are referencing.

I referred to the Gallup Poll, which probably the most prestigious poll out there which is most often (if not always) used regarding the issue of Presidential approval ratings.

One of the reasons why Democrats lost badly in the last election was because they trusted the grossly partisan weighted polls of the New York Times.

Finding the poll with the most bleak results and ignoring the others doesn’t mean that is the true reflection of America.

I trust the Gallup poll more than any other poll.

I believe that “Cole” was referencing a Zogsby poll. The pollster preferred by 4 out of 5 asshatologists

Be careful you anti-Bush biggot… watch how fast your IP and location are sent to/tracked by the Secret Service and then be prepared to open the door for them when they come a-knockin at your door.

Gosh, I am frightened. Still, my future as a free citizen has no effect on the polls. Also, see this beautiful article.
