Enough of this Crap

By Matt Margolis | July 25, 2003

There was a lot of bickering, flaming, and other types of comments which I consider unacceptable for this blog and thus I have deleted a bunch, and will continue to monitor my blog and remove any posts that bother me.

No, I don’t mean comments I disagree with. As can be clearly seen, I have not deleted posts by commenters who disagreed with me. Just the ones who post things that go against what I have laid out in my Blog FAQ.

I’m tightening up the noose.

Not too tight now, Matt. Are we talking about banning IP addresses?

    Whatever is necessary.
Although it’s interesting to me how so many people are incredibly threatened by the things that I say that they keep coming back, try flooding my polls, using anonymizers to shield their identity… For what? To try and inflate their ego on one person’s relatively obscure blog? If they want to play that game, all it shows is that are weak minded losers who have nothing better to do in their lives but hang around where they’re not wanted and pretend like they are influencing people.

So, I’ll ban IP addresses if I have to.
I’ll delete posts if I have to.

If something rubs me the wrong way, I’ll delete it without explanation. It’s my blog. I can do that. If people want to waste their time posting over and over again with different names, fake e-mail addresses, etc. etc. they’re only wasting their own time.

You know after a certain percentage of missed votes we should start docking pay. After all these elected officials work for us. (Well work being a relative term.)

Seems to be coming into focus, with great clarity AND relative swiftness: The Democrats lack seriousness. Patriots they may be, intelligent they are, but as Tom DeLay points out, they lack serious credibility. They’re full of sincere, honest, real anger… and they mistake their anger for conviction. They use anger as a guage of reality’s goodness/badness, rightness/wrongness, rightness/leftness…

In any case, they refuse to accept that MY EMOTIONS tell me NOTHING about (objective reality), but TELL ME MUCH about HOW I VIEW reality.

Good work, Matt. Stay with it.
