The French-o-cRATS

By Matt Margolis | July 14, 2003

I found this article so amusing. Today, CNSNews reported a story that says that Democrats have been using Bastille Day as a milestone day of sorts to bash Bush. Oh, this should be a fun fisk.

Bastille Day, the day marking French independence, was also the day for opponents of the Bush administration to praise the French for their opposition to the war in Iraq.

This goes to show you, that Democrats are as worthless as the French. I wonder what they had to say about the Democrats that supported the War in Iraq. Need a list of these Dems?

In The Senate and
I’m sorry, but the Democrats are their own worst enemy when they cry like babies over Election 2000. (For more on my thoughts on the November 2002 election, please read
“Conservatism Wins Big on Election Day 2002″

“The Left is starting to get the hang of the Internet finally,” said Kristinn Taylor, co-leader of the Washington, D.C., chapter of the conservative online discussion forum, Free Republic. “Everyone’s talking about (2004 Democratic presidential candidate, Vermont Gov. Howard) Dean’s supporters using MeetUp.com to organize, which is resourceful.”

Hey, I admit, Dean has been rather smart in his efforts to utilize the internet in his campaign. However, do I think it’s going to work for him, should he receive the nomination? No. Trying to be as objective as I can here, I believe that Dean has certainly been good at speaking to the hard left base in America, However, I believe that George W. Bush certainly appeals more to independents and moderates. That is of course, my opinion.

In Washington, participants gathered Sunday at Lavandou, a French restaurant, to discuss political action and the upcoming 2004 presidential election. Similar gatherings were held in Knoxville, Tenn., at the Chef Bistro, and in California’s Nappa Valley at Bistro Jeanty.

Don’t you think they’re overdoing the French thing? If Hitler was in power today, would the Democrats be eating sauerkraut or something at a Germany restaurant waving to each other with Heil Hitlers?

“From the decisive role the French played in America’s liberation from Great Britain through the Statue of Liberty - perhaps the greatest gift one country has ever given another - to the present day, the French are America’s most enduring ally,” David Lytel, Democrats.com co-founder said in a release.

I beg your pardon, Mr Lytel? Is threatening to veto any resolution authorizing using force against Iraq the act of an ally?

“The French stood up to the Bush administration’s attempt to offer false evidence to the United Nations in making its case for war and have suffered a vicious Republican-style smear campaign in the international news media since then.”

Did the French stand behind Clinton too, when he said he didn’t have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky?

Lytel added: “We honor their courage and their deep commitment to Republican ideals.”

Is Lytel implying that “offering false evidence” and “smear campaigns” are Republican ideal? What a joke. Lytel is a real moron. You got to love it though… Democrats are heavenly angels, and Republicans are the Great Satan, the Big Bad Wolf… Please. Massachusetts Republicans save lives, while Massachusetts Democrats kill people. Shall I provide more examples?

However, Taylor was quick to point out that even President Bush downplays the effect the dispute over the Iraq war has had on the U.S./France relationship.

“It’s a clever way to attack the president,” Taylor conceded, adding that he does not see such events as generating much interest. “They’re trying to replicate what Freep started doing in the online movement.”

You’d think liberals would have more ability to harness the powers of Al Gore’s invention…

According to its website, Democrats.com is the “largest independent community of Democrats.” Founded in 1999, Democrats.com is a private company that publishes commercially sponsored e-mail newsletters for Democrats but is not connected with the Democratic Party or the Democratic National Committee.

Not connected? Okay, sure. I guess I am not connected with www.mattmargolis.com too.

It also provides Internet mobilization campaigns and websites for organizations like the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the National Organization for Women, NARAL Pro-Choice America, Sens. John Edwards (D-N.C.), Jon Corzine (D-N.J.) and Pennsylvania Democratic Gov. Ed Rendell.

Well, I have to say their Internet mobilization appeared to be stalled. It stalled back in 2000 when they could let go of the election.

See ya in 2004, French-o-cRATS… You’re going to lose big time.

Matt let me get this straight, The Democrats are living in the past because the man with less votes is currently in the White House and they are still rather pissed? But you aren’t living in the past by mentioning “TEH CLENIS” every chance you get… how?

How can you say to get over the french shit, when you DEMOFAGS keep bringing up Election 2000…. you always forget that tho Gore won the popular.. we do not elect the president by popular vote… never have. a small number of presidents that have served their country were not elected by the popular vote, but won the electoral college. You cna’t just re-write the consitution whenever it works against you. Geez…. how about YOU get over it. If you can persuade legislators to change the electoral process.. by all means… but you can’t do a retroactive change….

  7. Um Yeah Says:
    July 15th, 2003 at 1:14 pm

Java I know this, I have hated the idea of the electoral college since I was 6. It basically means we dont live in a Democracy. And Eric Sivula you cant accuse me of Gore-Jacking if the thread in question is about election 2000.

  8. java Says:

well..accept and it and move on, or write your congressman.

  9. Matt Margolis Says:
    July 15th, 2003 at 1:29 pm

Um Yeah, what you don’t seem to realize is that the electoral college prevents larger states from being the sole determiners of elections.

CNSnews isn’t exactly the first source I’d go to for an unbiased view on liberals. Can you independantly verify any of this?

  11. Um Yeah Says:
    July 15th, 2003 at 1:43 pm

Larger states as in the states that have more people. Either way the number of electoral college votes you get is based on population.

Java Ill get over Bush stealing the election the second you stop obsessing about “TEH ALL POWERFUL CLENIS!!!11″.

  15. java Says:
    July 15th, 2003 at 2:43 pm

He didn’t steal the election… you assume anytime a republican wins an election that there is something wrong.. what you don’t realize is that the political center of the US is shifting towards the right because they are fed up with the democratic shit policies.

  16. Um Yeah Says:
    July 15th, 2003 at 3:23 pm

Gore got over 500,000 more votes and the Florida election system is so screwed up we will never know the true count. Im not going into this so we might as well just drop it. And also I think it was only one other President elected that way (Electoral College and not Popular) I think it was Garfield or Arthur.

    Courtesy of Worldbook.com:
“…Rutherford B. Hayes in 1876, Benjamin Harrison in 1888, and George W. Bush in 2000. A fourth president, John Quincy Adams, lost the popular vote in the election of 1824. But Adams was elected president by the House of Representatives after no candidate had received a majority of the electoral votes.”

    Courtesy of HowStuffWorks.com:
Rutherford B. Hayes lost the popular vote to Samuel J. Tilden by 264,000 votes, had 25 more Electoral votes
Benjamin Harrison lost the popular vote by 95,713 votes to Grover Cleveland, but won the electoral vote by 65

“some say the Electoral College worked the way it is designed to work by preventing a candidate from winning an election based on support from one region of the country.”

    Tanking Um Yeah?

If you visit the following page on Gallup.com, from July 2, you’ll see Bush’s numbers doesn’t quite qualify as tanking. He’s still hovering over 60%.

If you’re not going to say anything intelligent, find yourself another blog to infest.

Bush being forgotten is likesaying people are going to forget 9/11. It just ain’t going to happen. Call Bush human scum all you want, but I would tend to say that people who fall into the category of human scum include rapists and child molesters. And there is only one president I know of that is a rapist. Remember him? He has an “office” in Harlem now, his bitch of a wife just published a book of lies.
