The National Organization for Women

By Matt Margolis | April 20, 2003

Leave it to a radical left-wing feminist group to politicize a tragedy to further their own agenda. The Morris County chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) is trying to make the Laci Peterson murder case a catalyst for abortion rights… Think I’m kidding? The Daily Record reports that NOW opposes a double murder charge for Scott Peterson in the deaths of his wife Laci Peterson and their unborn child. Why do you ask? Because they say it “could provide ammunition to the pro-life lobby.”

Mavra Stark, Morris County NOW President, said, “If this is murder, well, then any time a late-term fetus is aborted, they could call it murder.”

Regardless of your stance on abortion, it is impossible to take this diatribe seriously. We’re talking about an innocent pregnant woman, carrying a child that she wanted, and the National Organization for Women devalues the life of her child - a human life.

What they are saying is that anyone can kill an unborn child and not be guilty of murder… just because they feel it blurs the line between late-term abortion and murder.

What’s the next step? Are they going to lobby for pardons for Susan Smith and Andrea Yates? Are they going to advocate post-natal abortions? The way leftists work, it’s probably headed that way. Katie Couric started a legal defense fund for Andrea Yates on the Today Show. It’s all headed this way.

Regardless of your feelings on abortion, to consider Scott Peterson, or any parent who kills a child (born or unborn) not liable… it’s just ridiculous and sick. It shows tremendous disrespect for human life.

The National Organization for Women has rightfully earned the second entry on my Liberal Idiots list.

There’s a guy in Texas who has organized a boycott of building contractors in an effort to block the building of a much needed planned parenthood center. His efforts have caused some of these contractors to receive 1000’s of calls from around the country threatening loss of business if they don’t stop working on the Planned Parenthood facility. I’ve already given him a call at his place of business; but if you would like call him and let him know what it feels like to be pressured by this kind of abuse, please feel free to call him. Here is his contact information:
    Mr.Danze of
    Maldonado & Danze Inc
    (512) 837-9677
    9506 Brown Ln
    Austin, TX

Oh and please feel free to repost this note elsewhere. Thanks!

i fully support this guy and i appreciate you getting this thing more public. this thing is all over the internet and the more people we have talking about it, the more undesirable this thing will be to subcontractors. so by all means spread the word and we in austin will sit back and marvel as Planned Parenthood’s abortion clinic is kept out of our city….

    Ben,

I’m glad you posted Mr. Danze’s phone number and address. I was looking for this information so I could ask him how I could help. This is an excellent way for people in a free society to express their distaste for the murder of children and the maming of women.

Thanks for the warning! If his oppressive, woman-hating company ever tries to do business in my city, I’ll make SURE that people eveywhere know what an OPPRESSIVE, WOMAN-HATING TALIBANI he is. Hopefully we can KEEP terrorists like him south of the Mason-Dixon.

My thanks to Mr Danze for standing for what he believes to be right (as are all of us who are posting here). I was a patient of Planned Parenthood on 2 occations in different cities. Also was low income w/ no insurance at that time. All I wanted to know was if I was pregnant and was immediately counseled toward having an abortion. After a half hour the first time and 5 minutes the second time, I left w/ a promise that no one in my family would ever darken their doors again. Years later my daughter was talked into a legal abortion through yet a different Planned Parenthood center. She (age 17) was told to not discuss this with her parents and never counseled or given the opportunity to change her mind. This LEGAL abortion was poorly done and in her 5th month. As a result, she hemorrhaged and developed a whopping infection along with it. We had to take her to the emergency room in our local town. She almost lost her life and we lost our first grandchild. This is only one of the reasons that I have become pro-life and strongly anti-abortion.

The best birth control offered are only 98% effective meaning that the only sure method is abstinence. If we as women were less available for sex, then there would be fewer unwanted pregnancies. If men would keep their zippers up, there would also be fewer unwanted pregnancies.

Oh, btw, my husband and I also founded and run a non-profit organization. One of the programs we have developed is to help those unfortunate single moms in the first 2 years of their child’s life. Needless to say, we council for birth and either keeping the baby or “open” adoption to a loving family.

To itsallgoofy - the real women haters are the men who prefer free sex and no committment. They also are the fastest to run when a birth control method fails. Perhaps you should think twice before throwing mud at those who wish to protect both the women of these situations and the unprotected child who is killed by abortion. Remember - a beating heart is life - when it stops it is death.

Obviously Mr Danze is also not such a good business man as he is one of (if not the only) concrete contractor in the Austin area without a website or web presence other than his hate filled scheme to extort other businesses in the area. Perhaps a dedicated and concerted effort should be made to put him out of business by using the same tactics. Turnabout is fair play. Im pretty sure that Haliburton wouldnt turn down the contract on that Planned Parenthood Center. Perhaps someone should look into some of the projects that Maldonado and Danze inc has done in he past abd with any luck something would be uncovered about him and his company.

Mr Danze is a true activist and Christian. He fights for what he believes is right. I wish him all the luck and blessings — and I’m not even Catholic! Keep abortion out of Austin.

In response to Danze’s “never a good reason, not even once”,You have no idea what it is like to be a woman or to be raped, which is to be tortured and mutilated sexually, or to have to give birth. Would you force your mother or your daughter or your wife or sister to give birth to a RAPE pregnancy? And have to explain to everyone why she is pregnant? How would you feel to have to live with your wife during her pregnancy for 9 months because she was raped, listening to her cry every day, being reminded every day of her rape torture, and then deal with the actual physically difficult delivery of the child? What if in addition a C-section was necessary? Now she’d have to endure major risky surgery and be laid up for a couple of months to end it all. Could you really force someone you love to endure that? Also, pregnancies often have physical complications. A friend who voluntarily got pregnant was laid up in bed for 6 months during pregnancy due to health complications, and then had to have a C-section. What if that happened to a rape victim? So her life is destroyed already by rape, and now she can’t work for months due to pregnancy complications, is reminded every day for 9 months of how she was robbed and tortured and mutilated and was helpless to stop it, now has more health issues due to it, and probably can’t afford the medical care to deal with it anyway due to not working, not to mention morning sickness, extreme mental, emotional, physical stress, and the physical hardship of bearing the child at the end, which could mean a C-section surgery which would cause her to not be able to work and have to be reminded daily of her torture for another 2 or 3 months before she could finally get on with her life and start to heal. Danze, you have NO IDEA AT ALL what you say. God help you. God help all rape victims. Please, have mercy on them just as you claim to have mercy on these children. By the way, I love JESUS too, and I believe that HE loves women just as much as babies, especially abused women, and HE never would intend for someone to have to go through something like that.
