“No Saddam Hussein! Bush!”

By Matt Margolis | March 21, 2003

Those leftist parading around as anti-war protestor should look at this story. Fox News is reported the reactions of IRaqi citizens upon the arrival of U.S. Marines telling them that “Saddam is done.”

Here are some quotes by Iraqis recently liberated:

“Americans very good. Iraq wants to be free.”
“Saddam Hussein is no good. Saddam Hussein a butcher.”
“No Saddam Hussein! Bush!”

The so-called “anti-war” need to remove the political chip off their shoulders, and have a heart - the Iraqi people are happy to be liberated.

Do you know who owns Fox? Rupert Murdock…Know who he is? Large contributor to the Republican party, so of course thats what his news network is going to report. Ask the families in Baghdad who’s children have died in the bombings, and see if they are so excited. Maybe they would of hoped inspections had worked. And as far as Fox goes, i wouldn’t trust any station that allowes O’Reiley to spew his nazi type propoganda about France. Just because they disagree doesn’t mean you have to degrade a whole nation in order to be able to except that they disagree with you, what ever their reasons. I know their reasons aren’t nearly as wholesome as the portray, but neither are our reasons for invading.

There have been many other stories from other networks and media outlets that arre reporting similar stories. Are they all lying just because they are reporting something you don’t want to hear?

You have every right to disagree with Bill O’Reilly. However, considering France to not be a true ally and to criticize them for putting their own interests before international security and for abusing their veto power in the UN is hardly propaganda.

    Regarding our reasons for invading:
You are probably the type that thinks our motivation is oil. If we were after their oil, why didn’t we take it in 1991? When we liberated Kuwait, did we seize their oil fields? No, we didn’t.

For the sake of this argument, let’s say there is an element of national interest in this situation, how much does that matter? Why is the United States not allowed to pursue economic & political interests? If France can threaten to use their veto power for their own economic interests in Iraq, why are they above criticism?

The United States has repeatedly shown its humanitarianism during its existence. Over 500 billion dollars has been given to countries for aid and as gifts that isn’t getting paid back. We may not be a perfect country, but our efforts to provide aid and comfort to the world far surpass that of any other country.
