Liberals hate Republicans, Not War
By Matt Margolis | February 27, 2003
Since the posting of my article debunking the entire list of reasons to hate George W. Bush presented by PunkVoter.com, I make it a point to occasionally visit the website to see what new things it will come out with. Considering the recent debate about the motives of the protestors worldwide (who’s numbers appear to be significantly smaller than initially reported by the media) the host of PunkVoter.com, in his own words, recognizes the truth of what inspires these protests: “Hey Punkvoters- There’s been many anti-Bush protests throughout the globe and it’s good to know that we are not alone in this fight against tyranny…”
He did not say “anti-war,” or “peace.” He did not say “anti-Saddam” or “pro-inspections.” He said “anti-Bush.” Was this a slip? Did he mean to say that? Of course he meant it, it was no mistake, because that’s what the protests were for. It has nothing to do with war. It has to do with who is in the Oval Office. When one of their own admits that these protests were “anti-Bush” and not “anti-war” or “pro-peace”, why should we take the protests seriously - as if we took them seriously before? PunkVoter.com has proven that liberals would sooner compromise the security of the nation and the world for their own political biases and agendas than support a Republican doing the right thing - and that is just sick.

If you took the time to read through the Punkvoter.com site thoroughly you would see that the aim of the organisation is to educate young people as to how important the electoral process is and encourage them to use their right to vote, not just to trash GW. They explain their reasons for wanting the Bush administration out very clearly and comprehensivly, laying out the facts for people to make their own decision.

If you took the time to read my post Response to PunkVoter.com you would see they are NOT educating - they are misleading and indoctrinating.

I have taken the time to read you response to punkvoter.com and have this to say to you. If punkvoter.com are trying to push their views on people then you are doing the same. You do not give people a chance to make up their own mind, instead you try to make it up for them. Touting things such as ‘Punkvoter lies’. What a load of rubbish. It is a fantastic thing to inform people but you go way past that. Also I notice you wrote a rebuttal to punkvoters “!5 reasons to hate the President” trying to disprove them, but you didn’t write a thing about the “real qoutes from a real moron”. Why is that? Take a little time to read the qoutes and I think that you find that they are all very true and not made up. Just out of curiosity, have you seen the Conservative Punk website, and if you have, what did you think? No doubt you have not a bad word to say about it as they share your views and you seem to only dislike people or organisations who disagree with you.Delete my comments if you like, it is your website, but that will just prove the point that you can’t handle those who don’t share your views. You should be politician, your great at lying!

Did it occur to you that theese protests are ” Anti bush” because there are simply too many reasons to list. We would not need to be holding antiwar, prochoice, profree health care, anticorporation, profreedom and rights, or any of these other protests if it was not for the Bush administration’s disgustingly conservative completely right-wing policies. Theese policies clearly don’t express what the American public, or the world for that matter, want or the protests would not be happening. It is great that a website like punkvoter.com exists and is getting young people involved because the future of this country is in their hands. I find it typical of closeminded right-wing Bush supporters, like yourself, to trivialize theese Anti-Bush protests, websites, and organizations, when in actuality they are what democracy is all about. I don’t blame people like you for belittling theese Anti-Bush actions because I think you do it out of fear, and I would be scared too if I were you. The truth always comes out and thoose of us who already know it won’t stop our silly protests and anti Bush actions until everyone is aware of the tyrants Bush and his administration are.

I think the new news I really can see being painted by the “right wing” media is the NY transit workers strike. You hear nothing of what the dollar ammounts are that the strike is demanding and the workers are in desperate need of. All you hear is how it hurt BIG business and sales, traffic is just soooo bad, my walk to work just sucked etc.
This is the demonization of the working class and once again reinforces the right’s needs for destroying our labor force, farming out jobs and not stopping mexican illeagals.
Just one of the many reasons to BE active in politics and write letters to congressman but to also watch C-Span and note the names of the “tard’s” on the Bush camp and once you got a list get busy writing to these offices of the rich (I mean politicians, sorry). Let them know they suck and why. Let them know what you stand for and what you will NOT stand for. After all big money has the power, we have the people!
