After a short lapse in my reading of James Patterson, I’ve decided to catch up a bit again. Earlier this year (or late last year) I first delved into the Women’s Murder Club series. I finished 1st To Die, 2nd Chance, 3rd Degree, and 4th of July in a matter of weeks. Today, I finished The 5th Horseman, and plan to start 6th Target soon. The next book in the series, 7th Heaven, is due out next year.
I wasn’t sure I was gonna like the Women’s Murder Club series when i first started, but it quickly grew on me. Still, the Alex Cross series is my favorite, though I didn’t particularly like Cross, the last installment in that series. I am, however, excited about the next installment in that series, Double Cross, which comes out later this month. Lots of reading to look forward to.
UPDATE, 11/12/2007: I have now finished 6th Target.
Hi Matt,
I really love Patterson’s work – and agree that there’s nothing like a good Alex Cross story!
Thought I would share a new book that I just read, a thriller called Paul Mark Tag “Prophecy” by Paul Mark Tag. The fast-paced action kept me reading well into the night — uh, make that early morning! While I see here that you always have multiple books going, maybe you’ll have time to read this one as well as “Double Cross!”
Let me know what you think of Prophecy.
Cheers,
Linda
OOPs! Looks like I didn’t get the linking thing done just right — was trying to make it easy for you to link to Tag’s site. I’m a reader, not a computer pro

Harry Bosch, the Micheal Connelly series, is much better than Alex Cross.
