Matt – based on war coverage, the Roberts attacks, and their general disposition, I’m convinced that for all their hot air the Democratic party is the most cynical and dishonest group of people in the country. Distorted and strange reports about abortion are just typical.

Iraqi terrorists kill innocent kids – we kill terrorists. The American military goes to extreme efforts to avoid killing innocent civilians – far more so than any other military on Earth. Once you pick up a gun and point it at someone – all bets are off. This statement actually shows extreme ignorance of military affais on you part and disdain for the public minded Americans who are actually willing to serve. It is unfortunately typical of people in your party who tend to speak from groupthink induced ignorance. It will get worse as you continue to refuse to serve and the ignorance gap grows. Regarding the Boy Scouts: yes, it’s evil. Not just evil, but idiotic. Who’s saying that all gay people are pedofiles too? And who says that homosexual guys feel the need to sleep with every other male in the world? You’re misunderstanding “homosexual.” It has absolutely nothing to do with sexual offenders.
And what does rich Democrats have to do with anything? Who cares? We’re talking about ideology here. Who cares what one person or two people do? It’s irrelevant.
QT – But we are not talking about some uninvolved organization with the Scouts. We are talking about an organization run by parent volunteers and very few people we hire to organize things. We are talking about OUR children – not yours. And WE decide what risk we want to expose them to – not YOU. Freedom of Choice and the Right of Association. This has nothing to do with hatred – only about risk mitigation. Liberals would dismantle an organization nearly a century old that does countless good acts, teaches Boys to be self reliant and to serve the Community – because they want to intrude on our private rights of choice and association. And if a terrorist tries to use women and children as a human shield – that is a war crime as accepted by international law. If attacking that individual results in injury to innocents (that HE has chosen to put into Harm’s Way) then it is HIS fault. If you don’t attack when he hides behind a child – it will become a common practise resulting in more innocents being put at risk. So yes, when a terrorist hides behind and around innocents – I agree that it is OK to attack them. Would you not attack Hitler if he was in a busload of civilians? No? How many innocent lives would that cost you when he ordered anther batch into the ovens? Nobody wants to kill innocents. Except of course – the terrorists ARE willing to kill innocents as the primary target. They see no problem with it at all.
FYI – that is why WE don’t send our women and children into combat with our soldiers and Marines.

What really pushed me over the edge was the pathetic arguments of lefties, the grasshopper approach to argument where you leap randomly from one position to another and then try to pretend they are not only related, they are mutally supportive. Example: I wrote a comment on another blog about considering reclassifying Islam as a political movement instead of a religion. Lefty response? I was trying to “get rid of all Muslims”. Huh??? There would be just as many Muslims, it’s just that most of them would be correctly considered members of a political party instead of practicers of a religion, and those who really do practice Islam as a religion would have to reevaluate their religion, clarify their belief system, and commit to practicing a discipline for the purpose of spiritual salvation rather than world conquest. Oooohhhh. Islam is now PC-protected, and any reference to “secular Islam” to describe terrorists hiding behind the veils of religion (as well as the skirts of women and the cradles of babies) would be Oh So Unacceptable.

How about claiming to be horrified at the reported deaths of women and children due to American involvement in Iraq (reported by highly biased BDS sufferers, by the way, not by reliable sources) but ignoring the children tortured in front of their parents under the Sadaam regine, or the rape rooms, or the hundreds of thousands of bodies found in mass graves proving wholesale slaughter on a level we still can’t comprehend? Ask an Iraqi—which would he rather live with, the possibility of a US bomb going off course, or the risk of a midnight knock on the door?
Here’s a politically correct bombshell. Why weren’t the death tolls of Americans in Iraq compared to, say, the death tolls of innocent civilians in Washington DC or New Orleans during the same period? Could this be related to the politically correct race of the mayors of those two cities, and/or their politically correct political affiliation?

According to this badly flawed excuse for logic, if abortion is OK because the unborn child can’t feel the pain of being dismembered, then I could drug my obnoxious neighbor, and if he didn’t feel the chainsaw, there would be nothing wrong with dismembering him, either. After all, he is probably more inconvenient than a tiny unborn child—and it’s all about convenience, isn’t it?
