Does anyone remember the article written in the latter part of 2001, by a Gore supporter, about how glad he was that Bush had won the election? This was by a major player in the Gore campaign. He said he personally filed several of the lawsuits filed by the Dems to block/change the election results.

What is so important about this article is that he admitted he did not really think Gore won the election---but he felt justified in filing suits and fighting so hard for Gore because he thought Gore would be a better president.

Sure, it was interesting that after 9/11, he realized how lucky we were that Bush won--he said he knew all of the people Gore could chose from to run his administration, and that none of them could have handled the attacks and subsequent decisions/actions nearly as well as Bush and his administration.

But what matters most right this minute is the offhand admission, by one of the Dem operatives, that he knew full well that Bush had really won, but he filed his suits and made his speeches anyway, for Gore, because he wanted Gore to be the president.

My problem is, I can't remember who wrote the article. I think it was in the NY Times. Anyone remember? It was a good look into the mindset of the Anything Goes Party, the Victory At Any Cost group.

Along the same line as I alluded to in my reply to Um Yeah in the Manny Ortez thread...why should anyone be afraid be afraid of a Democrat with a gun? Those two p*ssies couldn't do any better than wing Ann Coulter in the shoulder with a pie. And idiots on the left crow about it like they've really done something. That's the difference between them and us. If it had been a couple of Republicans throwing at Barbara Streisand, you can bet the mortgage that they'd have gotten her right in the face. Not only that, but winging her in the shoulder would have been considered a colossal failure of mission. So, no, we have no reason to fear a Democrat with a gun. Unfortunately...terrorists have no reason to fear them, either.

OK - I disagree with you on the republican voter intimidation against Democrat part, but at least we agree that the violence against republicans is bad. Now, would you agree that this activity is voter intimidation and join us in calling for the AFL-CIO and the Kerry-Edwards campaign to help stop it? They could at least condem it - something they have NOT done.

By the way - given time to fester, this technique will wildly backfire - stress the word fire.

To redirect the comment, there's no question the Republican strategy of holding up the voting queues will backfire. At least, it'll backfire on America, since it all but guarantees lotsa litigation. Of course, I don't see why that's a bad thing, since some matters just should to be resolved in the courts, but it seems that Republicans, by and large, have been far quicker to screech far louder about lawyers and lawsuits. I'm not sure why, exactly, since GWB was pretty fast out of the gate with his team of lawyers in 2000. I guess it's something to do with the 'trial lawyers' mythology.

You "liberal" scumbags are shooting at Republicans and attacking us.

Yeah, that stuff is bad. You won't get any disagreement from me on that.

t's about time someone did the right thing. Let's go progressives, take action! CONSERVATIVE SHITBAGS CAN'T VOTE IF WE KILL THEM FIRST!

There's no need to get rash. Here's a little trick I learned from Herr Rove: get a few thousand poll watchers and slow the voting lines down to a standstill. As long as we focus our eeeeevil lib'rul efforts on white precincts, we're a lock.

Hmmmmm, "supposed" un-named, unspecified actions by Republicans in contrast to multiple specific acts of violence and destruction by Democrats. Oh yes, its so clear now. How could I have missed it? Don't be obtuse = You liberal NAZI's are attacking Republicans - shooting at us, and destroying our offices. At least have a credible lie to tell. Didn't they teach you anything at the propaganda seminar?

jpe I provided links to specific instances. Put up or shut up.

What I was saying was that it's invalid to draw the conclusion that Democrats are acting especially unethically from an article that plainly lays blame at the feet of both parties.
